My last adoptable that'll be non-avatar for a while, because I miss making them, but this little fella has been itching my fingers so they got a free-pass haha.

.: sort of a subspecies of the more well known Qilin (Keilun / Kirin) and, when in their "true form" often mistaken as such - or a unicorn, depending on how educated in Mythical beings the onlooker is. they hold much less magic than any of the two, only known to bring small amount of increased luck to whoever is exposed (such as perfectly boiled eggs each time, or doesn't break that much of a sweat during the summer peaks
.: due to their funky looks and often skittish nature of behaviour, are they commonly kept as royal entertainment or circus acts, seldomly considered as truly sentient beings since they're "part animal". bounty hunters and greedy fingers also hunt for them to retrieve the ridiculously small amount of gold found among their scales and in their horn. our friend here sadly lived through the first one, caught while turned and surprised everyone upon turning human. the kingdom which captured them had them stored away in the dungeons between official feasts, during which they were expected to keep the guests and visitors entertained
.: the mark on their forehead (and down their neck/torso/left leg) are scars, given or carved themselves to honour their magical side
.: has almost a perfect disguise, but is unable to truly transfigure their legs/feet
.: if looking closely, one can see that their veins and waterline actually shimmer in gold - another thing they can't hide even when in human form
.: very triangular face, chronically dark rings under their eyes and tend to keep their hair short but with thin braids by the nape
