Description
This was my fourth ever etching, an effort made after an art trip to Italy in 2001 and meeting a master printmaker - and this one tossed me head-over-heels in love with printmaking, most importantly, drypoint etching.

This etching was copied off a photograph of my profile, and I did a sly trick by cutting up the photograph into main shapes, such as the face, hair, clothes, fence, sky, then using the needle, tracing the shape onto the zinc plate.
