Description This is technically a work in progress.. But holy crap, I'm so tired of it right now! You'd be supprized at how much effort you can put into making sure everything is accurate. So far.. I think Everything on this image has perfect feature position.. might have missed something somewhere.. But I'll go over it again to verify the units are accurate. Otherwise, I will be adding the railing and the plants.. not the people, I suck as modling people.. And I'll fix the lighting

Very cool. Looks like everything's in the right place to me. What program did you use for it?

Somehow I missed this question.

Gmax + Yafray via a nifty render plugin hack.
My toolset is wonky, but it's all freeware, so w00t eh?

this is an amazing idea...i've always considered doing some of eschers work in 3ds
i would love to attempt things like that impossible cube, and the stairs that keep going up...
but yeh dude fix whatever the fucks goin on on that right hand bottom corner,
then do something with the textures, it looks a little odd.
and then, then you'll have a masterpiece

Yea, there are a lot of flaws in this one.. I must have been very tired when I was doing the measurements.. haha, even the left hand staircase is missing a step.. how on earth did that even WORK? Idunno.. Fixing a bunch of crap on it now.. It'll look much better soon enough.

Anyhow, Escher has done some AWESOME work.. I've actually seen someone do Ascending and Descending in 3d, now THAT is a hard one. Especially if you want texturing. @_@ I tried it once.. didnt turn out well at all.

I had planned to release the final version as a wallpaper. If I knew I was going to recieve this much attention so fast, I would have just waited to share the finished work!

So I'll just let you know
Maybe I'll give ascending and decending another shot after I finish this one.

If anyone else wants to be notified, just let me know here, and I'll note you when I post the wallpaper.
