Description
I started this 4 years ago! I found it yesterday and decided to finish coloring it. There was a story behind it but I vaguely remember it. I thinkβ¦she was from the past many a years ago in Japan and had an interesting mystery to her. I would much rather hear what kind of story you can come up with! If I really like one, I will feature it here.
If you would like to color the lineart, I submitted the lineart to my scraps.
I hope you like it and I will be posting many video tutorials soon, I will post the video links on Twitter once they are up.

I made up a little background story for her
She was a woman of many faces.Β
Her vacant green eyes could pierce even the darkest of soles.
She never said anything, she didn't need to.
A traitor and a lover.
But to whom?
Nobody knew her real name.
They called her the Sapphire Cat of the Desert.
Even though her clothing had many bells she never made a sound.
A hero or a villian?

During the feudal era of Japan, the wife of a nobleman had a wish, that she would be the most beautiful thing the world had seen, she would pay any price to achieve such a goal. With keen ears, a demon nearby heard this wish and took the disguise of a young maiden. "I have been around the world and have been told by many that I am the most beautiful, however I owe my beauty to the springs beneath Mt. Fuji" said the demon "I can teach you the secret to the springs magic on the condition that you must leave your husband to me." The lady pondered and finally agreed. After they arrived at Mt. Fuji, the demon removed her guise and was a terrifying monster with the features of a cat. " I know have a body of my own which many will say is the most beautiful they have seen" screamed the demon, and fused her body with the maiden. When the demon went to the manor, the nobleman immediately recognized the demon as not his wife and had an exorcism done to her. The maiden survived but her body was transformed. No longer was she human, but a fierce beautiful warrior with features of a cat. "For making a pact with such a demon, I can no longer be your husband" cried the nobleman, and had her banished from his manor. Ever since then the maiden, the most beautiful woman to walk the earth, hunts for the demon who deceived her, eyes glowing green with demonic revenge.

i think that i have a story to go with this amazing pic!!!
on a dreary autumn day a young girl and her family were walking through the woods. The youngest girl in the family was getting ready to ask a question to her mom when a band of robbers stepped in their path. The robbers asked for all their money. The mother and father said that they had none with them. The robbers all started laughing. They said "Fine be that way..." the lead robber started slitting the throughts of the family. the youngest one was able to escape her fate. She ran and ran and ran to try to find a way out of this nightmare. She woke up screaming. That day has come and gone. now she is a teenager and lives in the mountain of japan. Each time she has that dream she wakes up screaming. This is going to be her fate some day, she knows and accepts that. her parents would be proud of her if they were still alive. Every year on that day she walks through the woods and pays her respect to her family at the site on wich they were killed. She regrets nothing as she lets it take over. The deamon. If you do not know what that is then you will learn in time. The deamon lets the animal side of you take controll. As the 15 year old lets it take controll, she screams.

I love it, however I feel like the eyes don't match the rest of the drawing. Like maybe the way you colored them is different from the rest of it. That might just be me though.

Wow amazing! She looks like the female version of Kitsune. The fox godess from the mountains. Trapped long ago by a curse and finally released to return the favor to the one who kept her from her destiny...yea idk lol the picture is just awesome haha

A very excellent piece, especially for having been started four years ago. The attention to detail is incredible, as others have said, and just the general way it's colored is amazing.
The only real part that bugs me are the size and shape of the eyes (although I do very much like the coloring), but that's just my personal preference.
And as for a story? Let me think...
Note: Looking back on this, it seems really dark for such a lovely art piece, and I apologize. I really don't know what's gotten into my head. O_o
I think that she fell in love with a childhood friend, who loved her back the same. The boy, however without a name for it at the time, held a form of autism. The only way he could learn to express himself and his emotions - to be able to talk to such a lovely girl, was from his cats. Over time, he learned to overcome his tendencies and married her, where they lived quietly in a cottage.
But one day, they stumbled upon a magical shard. Curious, they inspected the shard until sparks started to fly up. Glitter started to appear, light shows, everything was coming out of this shard, and they figured out how to use it. So, as anyone would, they walked into town and began to show people the tricks they could perform, and the entertainment and happiness they could bring.
They quickly became popular, and people would come from far and wide to watch their performance, and what a performance it was. They were the talk of the town, the one thing everyone knew about. Everyone, including one power-hungry criminal leader. Soon those performances were not just surrounded by cheering fans, but also by mysterious men with swords, examining and carefully noting everything they did, every little action they made - evaluating their threat, so to speak.
And one night, everything came crashing down. The cute, little cottage they lived in was set aflame, and the couple tried to escape, only to be ambushed by the men. They used the magical shard to defeat the men, but at a cost. The man, despite his challenges, loved her so much that gave his very life so she could live through this. The girl, stricken with grief, used the last of the magic to turn her into this form - an eternal reminder of what was lost, but also of what great love can exist in the world.
...I'm sorry, I think I tried too hard.

I love the coloring techniques you used, and the colors you chose, but the bells look a little odd. It's not the coloring--that's done beautifully. I think it's just the way they're positioned. How they don't really seem to be attached, and yet they are. The one on the side of her neck looks like a metallic growth. Otherwise, it's lovely.
