I thought up this au back when I first got back into ninjago and bought a prime empire Kai minifigure (and as I only had seen up to season 3, I had no idea what prime empire was). As I still haven't seen prime empire this au is still in the works but, basically Kai dies sometime before prime empire and to honor Kai someone made Kaiborg and put him in prime empire. When the ninja end up in prime empire Kaiborg helps them and wants to show them around the game. In the end Kaiborg escapes with the ninja and says with them. Kaiborg does not have Kai's fire.
