This started out as a what if Ben and Rex swapped powers

Age Rex: 11 Ben: 10

Alright so first, the Plumbers never disbanded and instead helped make Providence who worked on making nanites. Ben was given the original nanites by Rex's parents and played with Rex. The nanite event happened when Ben was 5 and killed Rex's parents while Rex got amnesia and Ben suppressing those memories. Providence wanted to study Ben since he was the only E.V.O. who could control his powers and Max allowed it under one condition, that they cannot purge (dissecting on a molecular level) Ben. Max asked Six to keep an eye on Ben as a favor. Ben hates Dr. Fell since Fell believes that the only way to understand how Ben works is to purge. Ben runs away a lot to see his family and only friend Noah causing Providence to hire Dr. Holiday when Ben is 7. Ben likes Dr. Holiday and Six since they listen to him. At age 10, Ben ran off after a fallout with Dr. Fell and met Rex and Bobo. Ben loves Rex's alien watch and becomes friends with Rex. Rex takes Ben with him to Kevin and Kevin decides to do the train scheme (Kevin 11 episode). Ben tries to persuade Rex to help him stop Kevin but Rex says that Kevin is the only one who cares about him. Ben leaves asking, "What about the people on the train, what about the ones who care about them?" Rex ultimately decides to go help Ben and stop Kevin who runs off. Ben decides to go back to Providence with Rex and Bobo but Dr. Fell had a plan to purge Ben, trapping Six and Holiday. Ben tells Rex to contact the Plumbers and ask for Max Tennyson while Ben got captured. Bobo goes to free Six and Holiday while Rex gets a furious Max to arrive. Ben tries to resist going in the purge room but White Knight keeps him from escaping. Ben barely escapes the purge room as Dr. Fell betrays White by starting it up while he's in it as everyone shows up. Max attacks Dr. Fell while Ben calmly stops the purge from fully happening leaving White nanite free. Afterwards Max asks Ben and Rex if they want to stay at Providence and both of them agree to stay. Max decides to stay as well so Providence stays in line.
