Lighting Tutorial - [link] (Lighting Rays)I've never drawn this character properly before, so behold. I don't like how his tails came out, but I couldn't find any official concept art of his tails in motion anywhere to help. It looks okay I guess.

Yep - [link] Let me explain.
Since you draw on lined paper, it's easier for me to explain. Most Sonic characters are constructed of 3 heads in proportion (1:3). Sonic is 3 heads and character like Tails is 2 and a half.
Now on the lined paper, you can draw the heads taking up 4 bars each. Like this [link]
It will take practice but does that make it any easier?

Expand the bars.
Treat it like a cake with fractions - 1/4, 2/8, 3/12, 4/16, 5/20, ect.
