I didn't. Half of the game you spent saving her despite the fact she stated that she could take care of herself. After which she just flaunted her cleavage into the camera and emasculated either Frank or Chuck depended on which game. Off the Record made her even worse when you have to come up with $1,000,000 to rescue her. Again.

I never played off the record and never plan to seeing as how it's a huge What If moment. Still, Isabella was way too annoying for me to like. I felt like Rebecca was a less annoying Isabella.

I actually like Nick Ramos as a character in Dead Rising. This is because Nick is the nicest person in the Dead Rising Series, plus he is the closest thing to a "true hero" in the DR Universe.
Frank West is the Batman of Dead Rising, Chuck Greene is the Male Wonder Woman of Dead Rising, and Nick? He is the Superman of Dead Rising.

While I get what Capcom -without it's original writer- was trying to go for with their character, I think Nick was a hit and a miss.
What made Frank and Chuck great characters is that they're relatable, especially for older playersΒ or for players who like a bit of reality in the games.
Sure a character can be nice, but if that's all they are, then you have a pretty flat character. Both Frank and Chuck put their lives to save others, sure they might not have done it in a "nice" way. I think even Frank in Off The Record pointed out the stupidity of how a Survivor was acting - like with Randolf and his refusal to head to safety unless someone bought his painting - but saved them none the less. That adds character, and I think Nick kind of lacks that. He's just nice or cowardlyΒ most ofΒ the time, there's nothing else too him.
While my problem with Nick was that he was a younger character, it wasn't until I watched later in the game thatΒ we all find out that not only is Nick immune to the zombie infection, he also have a healing factor.Β So really, he has nothing to fear during this zombie outbreak - not like Frank or Chuck, Frank being living proof that even powerful main characters wasn't immune to the infection. So, really, what's the point? If Nick can't get infected or receive scars, how could any player put themselves in Nick's shoes and get that kind of connection that they would with Frank or Chuck? They're human, they're not untouchable or perfect. They have notable flaws that we the players can have, including being just as vulnerable to zombie bites and infections like the rest of the NPCs.

And besides, despite Nick's healing factor that only works on zombie bites, he can still get eaten alive if the zombie horde overwhelms him. So Nick still has a good reason to fear the zombies too.

Actually, all three protagonists have big flaws:
-Frank's flaws is that he has egotistical tendencies and craves glory. The Willamette Outbreak showed him some humility.
-Chuck's flaws is that he's struggling to be a good guy, can't let go of his tragedies and sometimes fails in his attempts to be a good person. Protecting Katey during outbreaks love helps him at least get over the tragedy of his wife's horrible death.
-And Nick's flaws? That is very simple. His naivety and cowardice! Surviving the Los Perdidos Outbreak taught Nick a lesson. And that lesson is that being naive is a very dangerous thing if you live in a grim, dark society. Also, he eventually gained more confidence and slowly overcame his cowardice as the story progresses.
Also, Nick's healing factor only applies to zombie bites, nothing else. Meaning that he can still be easily killed by any regular human enemies, and thus, he still has a good reason to be afraid in zombie outbreaks.

Very much. At the same time though, it just showed how human Frank was in the game. He was an indestructible badass, but still human. God, I love Frank West.
