Basically, the story's a bout a boy called Steven and the Crystal gems, and they're a group who protect the earth against being attacked. The crystal gems look like people, but their life source if their gem, which is placed somewhere on their body. They live in a town called Beach city, and the program's essentially about the journey Steven (who is half human and half gem) takes to learning more about himself, because he is the first of his kind.
I think that's a basic synopsis of it? Maybe? XD you'll probably find people explaining it better somewhere else but it's a really cute show c:
