Here is LBSwapLB! An AU which takes place after Hidden in the Abyss, believe it or not. It also seems to be the canon LBSwapLB, so cry canon archive, cry.

LORE:
During the events of ‘Hidden in the Abyss’, the human decides during the battle with Sans and Papyrus that they would try to ‘spare’ the duo. They would then try hard to betray them and therefore win the battle. Unfortunately, that fails, as when the human tries to save after sparing them, sans uses a move, so that when the human reloads that save, they are immediately killed.
Therefore, there was nothing left for that world, so the player reset.
When they go back, they have not reset fully. So another route of ‘Hidden in the Abyss’ occurs. The human now knows Sans and Papyrus’ tricks, and meets them for a surprise attack in the CORE. This makes sure that Sans does not acquire the true knife, or the heart locket, which puts them at a disadvantage. Furthermore, when the human attacks, sans’ bag was taken by the human in the confusion, letting the soul containers into the human’s hands. With this disadvantage, the duo were defeated, and the genocide route was finished. A true reset occurred, and it was like nothing ever happened…
After a few regular genocide routes, the fun value lands on 66, and that is where our story starts. Sans meets gaster in the waterfall hallway, and gaster notifies sans about all the routes, and the two ‘Hidden in the Abyss’ routes. Sans became shocked at how many things had happened, but the human finding the waterfall door cut the conversation short.
Gaster, having full reign in the waterfall room, fights the human, learning their attacks, while sans aids as backup. Gaster, after the battle, kicks the human out of the waterfall room, leaving them to continue their genocide. Sans is sent to the true lab to get determination from Alphys, as he knows that she has a way to harness it. When he gets the determination, he fuses it into gaster, which makes him have a physical form again. The old doctor is real, his return to reality has finally occurred.
The two make a deal, gaster will make sans slightly more powerful as a gaster follower. He obliges, making sure that the human can’t win. The duo travel to the center of the core, where Gaster will have his most power. The human arrives there for the final fight
