Luke standing around in roses, looking shojo as a mofo.Well, I finally did something with that old sketch . Though I kinda like the sketch better, oh well. At least got some background practice and I draw roses a little bit better now than I did a year ago. :T
Looked at several different reference images of valleys for the bg.

Really, really digging the colour scheme on this one; it reminds me of that brown, weathered and soggy season right after the snows, but before spring has really greened everything. Tolkien defined this as its own season, calling it Stirring. Its counterpart is after the colours of autumn have faded and everything is brown or leafless, and he called it Fading. /geekout

Everything is amazing ! And i love how the character and the BG are not so in much contrast. You did a goog job on the painting.

I agree, and adore this very lovely work. I love how you drew the background and the roses *u*! This inspires me to work on drawing my roses cause I'm not used to drawing them.

Oh, definitely! I've drawn so many roses from photo references, it helps alot! You eventually learn how to improvise the petals and how roses naturally curl and such~ It's actually fun to practice! xD And haha, yeah, if I had put some sparkles in there, it would've exploded off my screen from the sheer shojo factor.

Oh I see, I've been looking at many references, but it doesn't start out really well,Do I just kep practicing until I get the hang of it?? ;^; I feel a bit defeated in the drawing flowers department.
and LOL, if you did add sparkles and pink background it would have just, kawaii desu'd your eyes from the epic shojoness.
