I'm so happy that even conventions here in Germany are banning generated pictures.
It's also pretty easy to tell if they draw or paint by themselves or if their pictures are just generated ->just ask them to draw or paint something with acrylics, watercolour, pencil, coloured pencils etc. (no computer though) and tell them to add their hand to the photo.
I hope this helps to identify human artists during application processes for artist alleys if you are unsure.
