I'm so happy that so many people actually support real artists and speak up against those generated images!

My point still stands; it's nice for playing around but nothing more. And the images are not to be sold because you are taking someone else's work (hate to break it to you but the generator does the work and not you) and credit it as your own.

Show respect for human artists, that actually put work in their craft. Without their art, image generators wouldn't be possible because they rely on those artists.

Commission them, buy their merch, speak up for them.

Btw. I heard complains about gatekeeping art but I don't see why. Everyone can learn it and I encourage you to do so. We weren't born with the ability to draw and everyone started somewhere.

There's plenty of tutorials and if you feel like I can help you with something (digital or analog because it has the same basics) just ask!

Talent is only what makes you learn because you feel a connection to what you do. That's 1%. The other 99% are hard work and many people just don't like that. Because they are lazy (or they really can't but I'm not talking about those).

Studying anatomy (for example stand in front of a mirror and use that as reference; there are also stockfotos exactly for this purpose but please read the terms of use), observing (that's basically the most important skill besides motor skills; I hope that's the right word :'D), fantasy/creativity (as Bob Ross likes to say: the hardest thing is not how to paint, but what to paint). There are so many directions you can choose and to be honest... it's extremely accessible. So I have no idea why we are gatekeepers if we ourselves even make tutorials for you to learn. An image generator doesn't learn nor is it inspired in any way because it doesn't have a consciousness. It just takes pictures and mashes them together.

I'm aware that there are artists who don't like to share their techniques but that's perfectly fine. There might be reasons for that but I'm not here to judge them. Everyone is different and that's part of what makes us human.

The best part about learning to draw is that you don't rely on technology (yes, even we digital artists can draw with a pencil on paper). It's a process and that takes time. But it's worth it.

So PLEASE #supporthumanartists . They have worked their way to where they are now and they deserve recognition. As I said, they are the reason that you can now play around with those generators.

If you are still supporting image generators: I'm challenging you to learn to draw to see for yourself how much work you are basically treating as trash.

I'm not against AI, I'm against the people who use it and think they are artists while they are only labeling someone's work as their own.
