"Cinderpelt...?"
"Yes, Fireheart?"
"I have to tell you something... I-I-"
"Cinderpelt!"
"Huh... Fireheart...?" Cinderpelt shook her head groggily as she was roused from her sweet dream. The gray she-cat lifted her head up and blinked her eyes slowly. The image in front of her sharpened, but she already know who it was.
"S-s-sandstorm! What are you doing here?"
"I'll tell you what I'm doing here." Sandstorm snarled, unsheathing her claws. "Fireheart is mine you hear me? Mess with him again and I'll bet Yellowfang will have something interesting to hear..."
Cinderpelt's heart was hammering. "I-I don't know what y-you mean..."
"LIAR!" Sandstorm screeched as she brushed her needle-sharp claws against dark gray fur. As the room started fading to darkness, Cinderpelt could sense the sand-coloured pelt exiting the room, unmistakable smugness shooting out like arrows.

"Cinderpelt! Who in the world did this to do?" Yellowfang mewed, her voice rusty with age.
"It's... It's nothing, Yellowfang. Don't worry about me. I...I...I was collecting herbs and a... branch scratched me."
"Then why didn't you apply any dock or marigold? What if it gets infected? Here, let me help."
Just then, the over-familiar scent hit Cinderpelt heartbeats before the unmistakable ginger-coloured tom entered the medicine cat den. Cinderpelt could feel blush creeping up her back. She started licking her paws self-consiously as Fireheart padded nearer.
"Cinderpelt! What happened?!" Fireheart asked, his eyes huge. "Does it hurt?"
Thankfully, Yellowfang returned with her stock of dock and marigold. Yellowfang answered for Cinderpelt before the younger she-cat could make a mistake. "She claims that she was scratched by a branch. Mouse dung! From the looks of it, it's definitely a wound caused by a cat. You didn't enter another Clan's territory, did you?"
"N-no! Of course not!"
"Hmph! If you're going to become a medicine cat you're going to have to stop acting like a kit!" Turning to face Fireheart, Yellowfang gave a rusty purr. "She's grown up, yet she's making me worry even more."
"Don't worry, Yellowfang. You've already got me." Fireheart replied cheekily.
Yellowfang battered Fireheart gently. "Hmph! You all are driving me to an early place in StarClan!" she scolded jokingly.
Fireheart purred in response before looking back at Cinderpelt. "Are you sure you're okay? Remember to tell me if you're feeling unwell." Fireheart gave a quick lick before padding out of the den.
Cinderpelt could feel her cheeks reddening. But then she looked up to see Sandstorm quietly sharpening her claws, giving Cinderpelt an unmistakable death stare.
