Description
There was someone she was waiting for. The one who brought her out of Etenamenki, the one she searched for. Fate makes such fools of people.---
I went overboard with the brushes. I did this at the last minute, and I keep seeing flaws in it...-wince- I want to cry when I look at it. Anyway. My favourite couple here, Alexiel and Lucifer. Done for a -really- belated v-day contest by ~Angel-Sanctuary-Club
-Spoiler Alert-For those who don't know: Alexiel was an angel trapped in Etenamenki. Lucifer broke into Etenamenki meaning to taint God's daughter and induced her to leave. She found him again as the sword Nanatsusaya where his soul was sealed in and when she was branded as a fallen angel to reincarnate constantly and die horrible deaths, he was the one who then began searching for her. Note: My information is not wholly accurate because I have not read the manga in awhile and do not plan to go through all 20 volumes just to give simple background information.

Well, if you read my journal, you'd know that I was planning to have a group artist session during November. But I could set one up during December, provided that it is before or after my holiday in Seattle. Aren't you supposed to be in the States though?
Ugh Alexi's body isn't half as bad as Luci's. I wouldn't have even posted it up here if I hadn't sent it in for a competition. In truth I think this should be in the scraps.

as long as its after the 21st tho..it'll take me at least a day to get back after my exams on 19th
luci's body looks fine to me. a lil flat but the overall posture and pose is ok. alexi's body is really crooked..she looks really awkward to me -shrugs-

Oh my, I just found out that I'm leaving singapore on dec 1 and coming back on 28th XD If you want it on 29th or 30th i guess it's okay.

I suddenly have an urge to reread Angel Sanctuary. Despite the mistakes that you and tarramint mentioned, I rather like this picture. No, scratch that. I really like it. I love the border, the red thread, and how they are together. And I especially like their hair and expressions. Or, Alexiel's expression and Lucifer's eyes.
Really, except for Lucifer's left arm, and maybe Alexiel's breasts, it all looks quite good to me.

It looks awful to me >_>...I may draw another seeing how those two are my favourite couple. I want to adaption of styles anyway.

Man...gotta love that manga....looking from the 1st book to the last, you can see how much the artist improved
ok, now to attack your work 
Lucifer's eyes appear to be too far apart, or his nose is a little off center for the angle his face is on. His arm also looks very stiff and seem to be too long though i can't work out why...maybe because it's so thin? Alexiel's breasts lack dimension, the lines defining them being too obvious - maybe add some more wrinkles/folds in her clothing to show the tension she's putting go her clothes? Her left arm also seems a little thin. The hair is great though and i can see you're trying to draw the eyes in the original style, though I think that Lucifer's eyes should be a little bigger if so. I like the red thread idea and the boarder you made too.

I sort of agree with the eyes and nose. But I definitely agree about the arm. >_>... I hated drawing that arm. It gave me so much problems, but I was rushing with this piece. I have to say that I'm not proud of it. His arm looks stiff cause of his hand mostly, but it's definitely not too long. It was too short before I finished it.
Hm, addressing Alexiel's breasts, yeah, the lines are too obvious, not really my style, but I noticed her breasts were always drawn in this way when she wore this dress in the manga so I assumed that it was part of her design. 
If you're talking about the left arm, which is on the right side of the artist, it isn't too thin, her boobs and body are hiding that. But -le gasp- the upper arm is too short >_@ I can't believe I overlooked that. Murder me, please.
Lucifer's eyes were small in the first place, I picked up reference from the manga. That and I was trying to define that he's a guy >_@ I loathed drawing lucifer.

Yeah i can see were your coming from about the breasts and her arm. It's always difficult when you're imitating someone else's style cos you end up with a weird warp between your own and original (>.< my first couple if inverloch fanart was terrible for that very reason).
Style plays a large part in things like anatomy - some people with really personalised styles techniquely would have wrong anatomy - but that's just part of their style. It's hard to know where to draw the line with artist's who styles are developing.
Plus critiquing is very subjective - what i see may not be what another person sees; and i may just be extremely picky

I know about the style bit -winces- Normally people's style is to draw the body WAY too small. And I keep screaming when I see those. For example this artist called messa? She's got great pieces. People love her work, but her bodies are small. But I like her work too so I don't comment
-muses- The inverloch style...I sort of got the hang of it after my first piece, if you see my recent sketches, you'd know. But I don't finish them an dthat'sa problem. Ah well.
Normally I just critique the anatomy->it's the safest. You avoid getting bashed that way. But I've decided that I can also use the oppurtunity to give my opinion on the person's style to help him or her improve. But only when they give the choice of "advanced critique" or if they request me to critique. Also I want to improve my critiquing skills....XD

Yeah, i love messa's style too but she pulls off the small body thing because of that
Critiquing is difficult - i often get the feeling something is wrong with an artwork but can't quite put my finger on it. Oh well, good luck to us on critiquing

Critiquing isn't difficult to me because my eyes just pick out the faults. And because I'm not afraid to point them out. Feel sorry for the people who suffer my wrath.
