Yeah, this shouldn't be a surprise. The comic version of Civil War, in my opinion, is a mess and not the good kind of a mess. Characters acting out of character, Reed Richards, the death of Goliath, the whole Spider-Man identity reveal thing (that The MCU handled better), and other problems that others like Linkara pointed out when they covered the event comic. Really hope he does an actual review at some point but that seems unlikely.

And then there's Captain America: Civil War, that many (except me) have nicknamed Avengers 2.5 despite the focus of the movie clearly being on Cap. While not completely perfect, it did handle the plot of the comic slightly better, had the characters act like the characters as established in the movies up until that point, and the main reason behind the whole thing was understandable as well as there being an actual villain in the movie who would go on to become the best part of The Falcon And The Winter Soldier. Shame that Mark Millar hated the movie because, in his words, “it was too dark”. I really don’t want to know what Millar considers to be fun if the movie version of a comic he wrote was “too dark”. Then again, Millar wrote the comic book version of Kick-Ass 2 that featured a character getting beheaded and then had the head of said character’s dog sewn onto the corpse so… take everything he says with a pinch of salt.

I know that Avengers Assemble Season 3 also adapted Civil War but I actually want to do a proper review of that show's take on the story at a later date.
