I’ve been wanting to do a series like this for a while, where I try once a week to draw a wings of fire character, and I thought Blue would be a very suiting character to draw. I will be trying to accomplish this goal of mine, and I hope this will be well worth it.

I loved drawing this piece so much, Silkwings are my second favourite dragon species to draw, and they have such a beautiful design, and they can basically be any colours and I love that design feature. His pose was very hard to nail down, and I spent a while on this drawing, but in the end, I love how it turned out. My favourite part of this piece has to be his wings though, I love their colours very much.

Now it is time for my little rant.
I have noticed how people have pretty mixed opinions on blue as a character, and I do understand that. He isn’t the most interesting to me, but he was basically an anchor of sweetness in the series. And he and cricket are definitely my favourite couple in the entire series, so I was rooting for them from the beginning. Blue is a very sweet soul, which does make him kinda oblivious to the evil around him, but I like him a lot as is, and he is a very fun character to draw. I did my best to illustrate his kinda shy personality through his pose and it turned out so well.
