Description
Sundew hasn’t always been one of the characters in wings of fire that I have liked. I used to really dislike her for the way she treated cricket, which I now kinda see was understandable. After book 12, I began to see her differently because she showed major character development. And now I’m okay with reading about her. I think it’s pretty cool with how important she is to her tribe, and I also really liked having her in book 14 though, I was upset that my boi blue wasn’t there. Her frill was the most challenging part of her design, because I had a lot of trouble drawing it from the side. I wanted to have a mixture of sharp lines and more rounder ones to portray that she is tough yet sweet when you get to know her. I was super happy with the front drawing, where you can see both of her eyes. I never draw headshots in that view because it’s very challenging for me, and surprisingly, that headshot turned out the best! I still don’t exactly love Sundew to bits but in all, I still think she’s a pretty awesome character. I hope you all liked the third drawing in my Expressionages which is a word I made up for expression pages. I hope you all enjoy this drawing, and as always, stay inspired.
