Description

"M., admit it, this is actually some kind of psychological research about who chooses which animal."

- K.

"For psychological research, I'd choose a hamster who's hoarding letters."

- C.

***I'm alive! So sorry it took me so long to finish this - my mental health got the better of me. I'm going to post the remaining pictures of this series as quickly as I can.***

For German Library Day on October 24th, I drew a little series of pictures showing animals in context with using a library - celebrating my wonderful workplace. After the first three images, I called out to my colleagues to make some wishes about what they'd like to see.
Somewhere around the end it took some interesting twists of people thinking I'd do any interpretation on their animal choices (except from making pictures out of them) - that got super funny. However, something gets lost in translation here, since there's a german word for hoarding that literally puts the hamster and its acitvity into a verb - similar to "squirrel away", but with another animal, - so "to hamster." So that colleague actually said she wanted "a hamster who hamsters letters." And it does, right? Just took a bit too much to fit in its paws.

Hope it lightens up your day.
Have a great time!

Material: Coloured pencil and ink pen on a random book page.
