Description
When one of the many Hidden World dragons returned from scouting, panicked over nearly getting caught by dragon hunters, many knew they must have found the location of captured dragons to save. The Alpha had organized a team to search and recuse, some volunteered to help out, which is how Topaz ended up in this grimly situation.

Once they found the arena and camp, her team split up to look for captured dragons. Topaz used her camouflaging skills to pass guards, knocking some out over spite. Hiding in the shadows as she finally came by a chamber. Chains lined against the walls, the only light coming from above, moonlight shining through the ceiling bars. She tried not to focus on how cold it was, block out the noise of the chains drifting in the light wind, ignoring the blood she nearly stepped in, which lead to her attention to the shadow moving in the room. It knew she was here.

Revealing herself, she sniffed the air and stepped forward, aware it was a dragon.

"Hello? It's ok. I'm here to help." She whispered softly, the only thing bringing warmth into the room.

Her response was a low growl and a swish of a tail. The shadow's eyes looked up at her, a gentle lavender hue to them, glowing in the dark. A paw stepped out of the shadows, then another, and soon ahead.

Topaz's eyes widened, freezing monetarily. She did not doubt what she saw, yet it was different than what she knew. It was a Fury, a Night Fury, to be exact. The deep black and grey body, lean head, wide mouth and sharp eyes. But unlike the other Night Furires she knew, like her Alpha and dear Cerburs, this one held no excitement or relief to see another Fury. Instead, he never stopped glaring, stuck in a defensive stance.

He looked her up and down, almost as though he was judging her. Then it was his turn to break the eery silence.

"You shouldn't have come..." His voice grumbled, deep and full of no hope.

Topaz blinked, thinking she heard him wrong. "Please, we came to help you all. We come from the Hidden World."

That got somewhat of a new reaction of him. The large male seemed to pull his head back, looking a little shocked or in disbelief. But it didn't last long as he scoffed and shook his head.

"Just go..." He murmured, gesturing with his head.

Topaz sighed softly and looked over what she could see. A thick chain was wrapped around his next, tightly. The parts of him in the light carried many stories through his scars, all deep, some new and some old. One ear even torn. She winced without thinking, praying he didn't notice. He was also rather large and very well built, so she knew he must have been in many fights. It explained his reaction towards her.

She took a few more steps, his ears perking to her movement and lightly baring his teeth.

"I know you're scared and hurt, but I promise we will get you out. This is no life for a dragon. And I know you'll love our home. Think about it? Fresh fish every day, colours beyond your imaginations, many of our kinds bonding with each other and flying through the most beautiful place on this world-" Her words were cut off but grim snarl.

"Quiet..." He uttered the warning, her words making him infuriated instead of curious or trusting.

Her ears perked up before lowering, a tender expression across her face. "Please, I swear it'll be ok-"

"Leave..." He warned her again, claws digging into the cracks along the ground.

She tried to take another step, lowering her head. "I'm not going to-"

"LEAVE!" He roared violently, yanking himself out of the shadows before being stopped by the chains around him, almost as if he went to strike her.

Topaz slid back in fear and instincts. Her ears lowered back as she felt her heart race. She felt bad feeling thankful that he had the chain on him right now. She didn't understand, why wouldn't he let her help? She could do it with ease, she just had to break the chain and find the others.

"P-please, I only want to help..." She whimpered and cooed, giving him space.

The male huffed and growled lightly before seeming to settle. He moved back, giving some slack on the chain. Once again, he looked her up and down, but his expression was deep in thought. He looked angry, but when she looked closer, it almost as if he looked a little upset, his eyes shaking lightly.

Sighing harshly through his nose, he looked down, tapping the ground. "And how would you do that?..."

Her head shot back up, thinking she finally got through to him. She was prepared to give a hopeful and grand speech on her plan, wanting to give him faith in her and her promise. But her lingering eyes widened, seeing the true somber statement to the question.

The lurch before had brought him out of the shadows entirely. More scars littered his body, but two stood out. Both opposite sides of his back, long, jagged, deep and gruesome. Blade marks that left behind all that would remind him of his missing wings...

I really wanted to do something else with Orcas, along with doing fanart of Miss Topaz here, so I put it together. I hope the writing is alright, it was quick but wanted to write a scene like this. It also shows a little more on how Orcas acts. The poor guy.....
