CrystalPhoenixBlader here, once again bringing a new chapter to the fanfic! It’s about time to start the Floral Flower Forest Arc to begin, so yep, you what the Idols will be wearing for the event this time before I even have to say it! Even if you do know, stay tuned anyway! So anyways, I do not own any of the Mario characters or the iDOLMASTER characters; the Mario characters belong to Nintendo and the iDOLMASTER characters belong to Namco Bandai. In addition, the characters “Reiji Arisu” and “Xiaomu” belong to Namco Bandai and Monolift Soft. So, with that aside, Let’s start the blooming action!

Chapter 47
Shinra Inbound! Arisu in the Mushroom Kingdom
*Toad Town ~ Central Plaza*
*Insert Theme: “Short Break in Toad Town” (Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story)*
Haruka and Yayoi, with Producer-san along, walk around the central plaza to look for Tayce T.’s house where they can pick up some lessons from her in order to further their skills in cooking.
“So, Haruka, you think this Tayce t. lady can teach some of her secrets to you and Yayoi?” The black haired man wondered as they passed an intersection.
“Don’t worry Producer-san! Mario-san already told us to enjoy some time to ourselves while he and the Princess plan the next part of the party!” Haruka smiled as she remembered a conversation earlier in the day.

*A FEW HOURS EARLIER...*
*Peach’s Castle ~ Main Hall*
Mario and Peach were looking at the now installed video map of the Mushroom World that Prof. Gadd installed near to the Multi Destination Pipe, curious as to where the light of the Dimension Comet will shimmer next. Meanwhile Haruka and Makoto walked to the hero and princess with something on their minds not related to the last portion of the party.
“Mario-san! We’re going to head out to Toad Town for a bit! You have any places in mind that would appeal well?” Haruka asked the red plumber, to which he place his hand on his chin to think for a moment. After a few seconds, two places came to mind.
“Haruka, you said you and-a Yayoi like-a to cook, right? Well, maybe you should-a drop-a by to-a Tayce-a-T.’s place? I’m-a sure you can-a learn much from her, given how she and-a Zess T. left-a some treats earlier.” Mario gave his suggestion to Haruka, who took that well. “Okay! We’d better check it out! I’d better see if Producer-san is interested..” With that, the ribboned Idol ran to check on the man, which left Makoto on the wing.
“Makoto, I-a do remember Tayce-a-T.’s brother, The Master, still has his dojo at the main square. Since you and-a Ritsuko seem to be skilled fighters as well, maybe you can-a spend some time there practicing what he knows on martial arts!”
“I’ll take up your offer. After what happened back in space with me crystallized, I think a little training regimen is in order!” Makoto smiled, but little did the boyishly handsome Idol expect was for Yumeko to overhear the conversation while coolly standing with her back to the wall and her arms crossed.
“Think I join in to watch, Makoto. Ryou could use a little toughening up as well!” the sidetailed Idol smirked, while the mentioned Idol frowned. “Aw, Yumeko, do we really have to?”
“Thanks a ton, Red! I can see why you’re so popular here!” Yumeko smiled as she exited, leaving Mario to scratch his head. “Mamma mia... with-a her and-a Ayane added, this is starting to get a little koo koo crazy already!”
“Well they are still teenage girls... well most of them if you consider that Azusa and Ritsuko are young adults...” Peach smiled nervously.

*PRESENT TIME*
*Toad Town ~ Outside Tayce T.’s House*
Producer-san thought for a moment that during the entirety of the party Mario had been thinking of all of the Idols before himself and smiled as the trio reached the house.
*Insert Theme: “Toad Town ~ Tayce T.” (Paper Mario)
The trio entered the small house of the Toad chef, Tayce T., who was happy to see them. “Ah, hellow, my dears! You must be two of the young Idols and the Producer I’ve heard about lately. I am the chef here in Toad Town, Taye T. To what do I owe the pleasure?” The smiled smiled before kindly asking.
“Yayoi and I were wondering if we could learn a few recipes from you as a suggestion from Mario-san.” Haruka smiled to the nice lady. In addition, Producer-san gave his request. “Also, if you can, do you have a remedy you can cook that can cure Yukiho and Takane? Sadly, they both have ended up with a cold from a mean joke at the bathhouse... as do Wario and Waluigi, who started it.”
“My, my... I do believe some Spicy Soup made from steeped Fire Flowers should do the trick. In fact, I have some in reserve. As for you two... absolutely! I’ll be glad to share a few recipes with you two young’uns!” Tayce T. smiled before readying her ladle.
“Yay!!” The two Idols smiled, while Producer-san sighed a breath of relief.

Meanwhile, at the outskirts...
*Toad Town ~ Outskirts*
*Insert Theme: “Trembling City of Aris” (Namco x Capcom)*
The pipe that appeared when Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi came out with the Idols along reappeared, and within moments, Reiji and Xiaomu pop out and land out their feet.
“So... this is the world the Idols went to? Seems much calmer compared to the Endless Frontier, but we can’t let down our guard, especially with the strange people here.” The zebra haired Shinra agent commented while surveying his surroundings.
“Hey, the sooner we find the Idols and Saya, the better, right Reiji?” Xiaomu turned to her superior, to which he nodded.
“Yeah... Saya. Who knows where she went...” Reiji crossed his arms and pondered their next course of action, but didn’t get a chance to speak as Kotori was flung out of the pipe with her arms flailing and landed flat on the Sage Fox with a splat.
*Insert Sound Effect: “Fred Drops the Ball” (The Flintstones)*
“YOWCH!!” Xiaomu yelped, while the surprised attendant gasped, got up, and apologized, of course, in tears. “Sumimasen, Xiaomu-san!!”
“...Just be careful next time, Kotori.... anyways, don’t you think we should split up to cover more ground? I’ll take Kotori and check southwards while you go solo and check the main square!”
“Perfect. We’ll meet back near that castle nearby.” Reiji nodded in approval and pointed at Peach’s castle. With that, the two Shinra agents and the attendant went their separate directions, not knowing Benjamin noticed them as he was making his rounds...
*Toad Town ~ Southern District*
Xiaomu and Kotori look around the district which held a few buildings, a pier leading to the sea, and a path to the Forever Forest. Along the way, the scent of fried tofu, warm soup being cooked, and some cakes being baked wafted into the Sage Fox’s nostrils.
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Agh! Won goph in mah mouph! Blech! Ptooey!" (Fire Emblem: Awakening)*
“Omigosh, that smell! I know the smell of fried tofu when I smell it!!” The Sag Fox gleefully chirped before grabbing Kotori’s arm and running to the source. “AIYYEEEEEE!!!!” The poor attendant screamed while being yanked into the air by Xiaomu’s frantic rushing as the Sage Fox began to ran to the source of the smell..
*Toad Town ~ Tayce T.’s House*
Haruka and Yayoi were enjoying making some cakes and Yoshi Cookies per instructions from the kind chef, as well as Zess T., who just left, while she got busy making the Spicy Soup needed to cure Yukiho and Takane, as well as a still frozen Wario and Waluigi. “Oh, by the way, dears, I’ve just received a package of tofu from Zess T. to try cooking. I hope it turns out great, considering this is the first time cooking it.” Tayce T. pointed to the spare oven she is using, showing a batch of fried tofu being cooked. As the Toad chef walked over to the oven to see if the tofu was ready, Xiaomu slammed opened the door with her mouth drooling.
“Is that fried tofu I smell?!” The Sage Fox yelped with glimmer in her eyes, losing grip on Kotori as the green haired attendant helpless flew straight into Producer-san!
*WHAM!!*
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Toad Town ~ Tayce T.” (Paper Mario)*
“K..Kotori-san??” The man responded weakly as the woman laid on his chest, pretty much seeing stars. Haruka and Yayoi stare dumbfounded as the flirty Shinra agent decided to help herself to the meal. “Itakadimasu!”
“My my, this is the first time I made fried tofu and already I have a satisfied customer!” Tayce T. smiled happily while Xiaomu helped herself. Producer-san managed to get himself up and looked at the fox girl. “An agent of Shinra??”
“Producer-san, what’s ‘Shinra’?” Haruka asked Producer-san in confusion, with Yayoi curiously joining in. The man, remembering hearing something before answered in a straight tone. “From what I’ve heard, Shinra’s a special organization affiliated with the Japanese government created to deal with supernatural phenomena and such. Other than that, I really don’t know the rest...”
Finished with the meal, Xiaomu explained her purpose in a cheery tone. “My superior Reiji and I were sent to check on a small disturbance near your place, which led us here. We thought you girls ended in some serious trouble, but it looks like we worried for nothing!” With that, she took notice of a Fire Flower in Tayce T.’s hand and asked kindly. “Ooh, can I try that out?”
“Wait a minute, dear! It’s not cooked yet!” Tayce T. pleaded, but the reply fell on deaf fox girl ears as she took a bite of the raw Fire flower and began to chew... But within moments, she felt a burning feeling in her mouth as her eyes began to water and her face began to turn a hot red....
*Insert Sound Effect: “Horn Blaring”
“YAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! HOT! HOT! WATER!! WATER!!!” The sound of Xiaomu’s scream echoed throughout the area.
*Insert Theme: “Happy Comrades” (Legend of Heroes: Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch)*
The poor Sage Fox, gripping her neck as it seemed that flames would begin to come out of her mouth, began to run frantically in circles as she began to desperately look for any source of water to drink. Kotori and Producer-san, as well as Haruka and Yayoi, sweatdropped as she decided to rush outside in hopes of finding something to cool her scorched tongue. “Producer-san... what was with that flower Xiaomu-san ate?”
Before the man could give an answer, Tayce T. decided to intervene. “Oh dear, the Fire Flower not only can give fire based powers, but is also used in making soup and a few explosive weapons... but is best not eaten raw... which you are now seeing the result..” Before any more words could be said, Xiaomu ran out of the district in a panicked frenzy, heading northwards screaming her superior’s name. She almost knocked over the chef Zess T., who was not looking forward to seeing Mario again. The surly chef turned and looked. “..What was that?! Whoever it was sure can run faster than Stompy!” (Mario, in case you don’t know.)

Meanwhile, at the Central Square...
*Toad Town ~ Central Square*
*Insert Theme:
Reiji quietly walked alone around the block in search of valuable information, talking to the townsfolk to see if they had met anyone suspicious. He was at the Toad’s Goods shop talking with the proprietor. “..Yeah, so a couple of days ago, I was readying my sale of Super Mushrooms, until that blonde girl started nibbling at my merchandise! I was starting to lose my cool, especially since the man she was with had no idea what Coins are, when Mario intervened..” Having a feeling of knowing who the shopkeeper was talking about, Reiji pulled out Xiaomu’s poster of the Idols and pointed at Miki. “I take it she’s the one?”
The shop clerk responded quickly as if his spine got stiffened up. “Yes that’s her! Now that you mention it, ALL the Idols, as well as their producers, are staying over at Princess Peach’s castle, bless her soul! They all are to participate in the Dimension Comet party that is held every 200 years”
Reiji wanted to ask more questions, sparking interest of this “Dimension Comet”, but then heard a sound from the nearby dojo run by the Master, so he decided to end the conversation and go have a look.
*Toad Town ~ The Master’s Dojo*
*Insert Theme: “Master Battle” (Paper Mario)*
The zebra haired Shinra agent entered the small dojo to see Makoto sparring against the Master in martial arts, with Ritsuko, Ryou, and Yumeko watching. “Come at me, young Makoto!!”
“With pleasure!” Makoto cried before launching few blows against the powerful Toad, who skillfully blocked the attacks, except one which he grazed. “Ah, you have some slight skill for a teen idol! It feels that within your blows there is a will to protect those precious to you and are willing to recover from the sting of a past defeat!” Makoto, thinking about Yukiho and Ryou, and the moment she was trapped in crystal then turned to the powerful Toad with a fire in her eyes. “I want to be there for my friends. The time Bowser Jr. encased me in crystal proved that I still have much to learn.”
“Hmph... very well, prove to me the strength of your resolve!” The Master proclaimed as the two fighters threw their best punches in a collision course. ..However, experience paid out in the end as the force threw Makoto into the wall. The tomboyish Idol rubbed the back of her head, yet somehow the Master smiled. “You do not need to overpower me to show how devoted to your friends you are. I could see the spirit within your own eyes. Never forget that determination that drove you to face me and apply it in your future endeavors, young one.”
Makoto got herself up and bowed down in respect. “Thank you, Sensei.” Just then, the Master heard Reiji’s footsteps as she walked inside. “Ah, we have yet another new face. Welcome”
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Brave New World ~ Piano Version” (Namco x Capcom)*
Ritsuko looked at Reiji as he stood silently, with Yumeko growing a little suspicious and Ryou looking a little unnerved. “What’s an agent of Shinra doing here?” The young producer responded with a suspicious look on her face, to which Reiji crossed his arms and eyed Ritsuko. “I could ask the same of you all. What are you all doing in this world?”
Seeing no other way out of the mess, Ritsuko decided that the best choice of action was to explain to Reiji everything that has happened so far in the party. A brief look of astoundment was on the man’s face when he heard that some of the Idols were actually kidnapped by Bowser, only to be foiled by Mario constantly and the girls returned safe and unharmed. He also grew a slight interest of the items used that gave special powers temporarily to whoever procured the item. After a couple of minutes of explaining, Reiji scratched his head, trying to take all the information in. “it’s... hard to believe.. but it looks like this Mario character is doing all he can in his power to make sure your experience in this ‘Party’ is safe and enjoyable, though the thought of Bowser having them as bridesmaids is completely absurd, though my partner Xiaomu would like to dress the part, knowing her... speaking of Xiaomu, I wonder...” The man began to think for a moment, but his answer came to him as a familiar voice was heard...

“REEEEEIIIIIJJJJIII!!!!!”
*Toad Town ~ Central Square*
“Insert Theme: “Goose and Shirla” (Legend of Heroes: Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch)*
Xiaomu ran across the street with flames in her mouth, grabbing her superior’s attention, as well as Mario and Peach, who walked out of the castle to retrieve the groups and the Spicy Soup needed.
“Mama mia... now dat’s-a something you don’t-a see every day...” The red plumber stared at the frantic fox girl.
“Mario... it looks like the girl’s mouth is on fire!” Peach pointed out the flames seething out to which Mario had an idea. He reached for the post office’s hose and turned on the nozzle, spray cold water on Xiaomu, soaking and cooling her mouth.
*End Theme*
“Ptth..pthooey... arigatou!” Xiaomu smiled after wringing her chinadress and vest clean.
“No problem!” Mario smiled, but when the Sage Fox got herself up and stared at the red hero, she gasped. “Omigosh!! You... you’re.. you’re THE Super Mario, right?!”
“Da one and only!” Mario smiled, but just then, Producer-san, as well as Haruka and Yayoi, who were holding the bowls of Spicy Soup as well as cakes and cookies that they made, rush in. “Mario-san! Thank goodness you saved her! The soup is up and ready!”
“Dat’s-a great news, Produca! And Peachy and I have just-a found out dat da next part of da party is at Yoshi’s Island!” Mario beamed happily which excited the Idols.
*Insert Theme: “Delfino Airstrip” (Super Mario Sunshine)*
Just as the laughter began, Reiji walked over towards the red hero and looked at him at eye level, seeing how he is taller than the plumber. “I take it you are this ‘Mario’ I keep hearing about?”
Mario began to give a tense look at the man. “Yes.... And who are-a you? I don’t think I’ve eva seen you around-a before...”
“Reiji Arisu, Shinra agent.” Reiji answered in a serious tone. But before the situation could escalate, Benjamin rushed in his humanoid form. “Whoa, hold on there!”
Reiji turned to see the omnidimensional enigma. “Wait a minute... do I know you?”
Peach then stepped forward to reason with the man. “Please, sir. I’m the one who asked to bring the Idols over, and they agreed to come of their own free will!” The man looked at the Princess and saw the honesty in her eyes. “..So, this is the princess of the place? Seems meeker and more aware of her clothes compared to Kaguya...” (Kaguya Nanbu from Endless Frontier, for those who don’t know.. Her outfit and bust size... um.. let’s just back on topic, shall we?) Afterwards, Zess T. arrived with Kotori in tow. “She seems to be look for a ‘producer-san’, whoever that is. I hope that’s not you, Mr. Stomps on Stuff!”
Mario, seeing how things got out of hand already, frowned. “..I might-a need some help..”

*Bowser’s Castle ~ Outside Bowser’s Master Bedroom*
*Insert Theme: “Bowser’s Castle” (Mario Kart: Double Dash!!)*
Kammy Koopa hovered on her broom with two other subordinates besides Corporal Paraplonk to the door of Bowsers room, while Kamek stood watching. “Kamek. Is His Highness behind these doors?”
The Magikoopa turned to see the Magikoopa matriarch and the two subordinates. “Mother? And... Private Goomp and Sergeant Guy?” The high ranking Goomba responded quickly. “Yes, Sir!” The high ranking Shy Guy also responded as well by telling the reason why the two of them were here. “Lady Kammy ordered us to accompany her to the king so we can be of use to him.”
“Likely so.” Kammy nodded in approval at the henchman while adjusting her glasses, then turned to her son. “Now, I'll ask you AGAIN, boy. Is His Majesty behind those doors?”
Kamek gave a hard sigh and tilted his head before answering. “Yes, Mother. But now is not a good opportunity to meet him, His Sobbiness and the prince are having some alone time together after what we went through...” The Magikoopa turned to again hear the loud sobbing noise belonging to Bowser resonate throughout the area, with Kammy knowing the reason.
“Alone time? He's crying a wells' amount of tears again? From all that happened in space about Mario getting in the way, rescuing Peach and a captured Idol, destroying the Convertor and having his empire-to-be destroyed by Black Holes...” The Magikoopa matriarch yapped while her son frowned. “Those are like taking a thousand low blows down there...”
“Mhmn. Well, I will wait til' he's done... I don't want repeat the last time I went in there unannounced...” Kammy decided on the course of action for the moment, recalling how many times she got scorched by Bowser for disturbing him. Kamek also understood the feeling as he waited as well. “Tell me about it. We had to rush for a fire extinguisher.”
*End Theme, Insert Theme: ‘Sadness and Happiness” (Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door)*
After a couple of minutes, Bowser came out of the room with his son in tow, his large eyes swollen from all the tears shed.
“Are you okay now, Sires?” Kamek took the time to ask first, to which the Koopa Prince answered first. “*Sniff* Yup...”
Goomp and Sergeant Guy walk over to the Koopa King, having been informed by Paraplonk earlier today. The highly ranked Goomba started first. “Paraplonk told us what happened while you were away, Your Majesties...”
“We're sorry things didn't go the way you wanted... it must have been dreadful- but all that matters is you all came back in one piece.” Sergeant Guy finished the statement, to which Bowser could only respond with one word. “... Somehow.”
“Huh?” Private Goomp and Sergeant Guy respond with question marks over their heads. To which Bowser redirected his focus. “Never mind. What do you want?”
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Map Theme” (Yoshi’s Island)*
Kamek turned to his mother for the news. “Mother, would you like to go first?” The old crone nodded and gave the scoop. “My king, I determined through divination that the next event is on Yoshi's Island.”
“Yoshi’s Island?” Bowser Jr. asked in confusion, to which Kamek answered promptly. “Yes, my prince. And the ruins of one the castles your father lived in when he was a prince would provide us shelter to hide.”
Bowser began to recall the exact castle through his memories. “One of my childhood castles, hm? I'll bet the place is still rotten and torn up. But it'll do. What about you two?”
Goomp pulled out a bulletin from out of nowhere and explained. “I have word from Corporal Paraplonk and an update on the Grand Doomship. Paraplonk did a count of returning soldiers again and... it seems a Koopa Troopa didn't enter the castle.”
*End Theme with Record Scratch sound*
“What?” The mighty Koopa King froze for a moment of what Goomp said, making the Goomba begin to sweat erratically while he continued his report. “P-Paraplonk said everyone was safe and sound after the horrifying Black Hole experience... a-and hypothosizes this K-Koopa walked out on us and went home...”
Kamek began to blow his top as he shouted. “Such insubordination!! Does he realize that deserting us is an unforgivable crime against the Koopa Troop?!” Bowser, on the other hand, calmed down, knowing the very reason WHY the Koopa left the troop in the first place, what with the incident that put EVERY one of the Troop, as well as Mario and the Idols, in perilous danger. “... After all that had happened in the Center of the Universe, I can't blame him for leaving me after putting everyone in such unpredictable unthinkable danger...”
“EH?!” The two Magikoopas stare at Bowser, wondering if something had hit his head, but the Koopa King, showing an optimistic smile, responded. “But one day, I WILL SUCCEED in conquering the Universe. I just need a better and safer plan. What about my Grand Doomship, Private Goomp?”
Goop, feeling that he had just escaped from the oven of Bowser’s would be wrath, eagerly looked up to his king and smiles. “OH! Yes! We installed the fifth wing to the Grand Doomship and preparations for the sixth wing are currently underway. Is there anything else we should do on it, Sire?”
*Insert Theme: “Battle Preparations” (Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks)*
“Hold on for a moment, Private. Sergeant Guy, what do you have?” Bowser responded as he turned to Sergeant Guy, who then gave his report. “My lord, Koopa Troop Epsilon Gamma Nu informed that the neccessary things to make the Sticky Cannonball for the Grand Doomships cannons are found and the recovery of young lady Wendy and young lord Larry was successful. They are currently in the Medical Ward.”
Bowser, happy to see that Wendy, who was knocked away during the Dance Battle with Haruka and Chihaya at Glamour Street, and Larry, who was sent flying out of Isle Delfino during the battle with Gooper Blooper, are alright and accounted for, began to smile of the more than satisfactory results as he gave his orders. “This is excellent news indeed! And seeing that there are five wings now, that means there are seven more to go. Alright, Private: Tell Paraplonk to assemble some teams with very important specific assignments for each. You continue your observations on the Grand Doomship and its expansions and give this list of additions to the Shipmaster. Sergeant: You're coming with us to Yoshi's Island, I want you on standby for the moment until further notice.” The superior of the Shy Guys in Bowser’s troop saluted. “Yes sir.” As the troops began to prepare for their tasks, Bowser had one last thought on his mind.
“And, hopefully, I can at least get some payback on a certain little Yoshi from many years ago...”

That’s the end of another chapter! The path is set for Yoshi’s Island, so if anyone remembers the Chief of the Yoshis there, he’ll be involved! But with Bowser planning something there, will the Idols be safe form the greedy king’s clutches, even with Reiji and Xiaomu involved? Find out next chapter!
Also, this chapter is done the day before Thanksgiving, so happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Meanwhile Haruka and Makoto walked to the hero and princess with something on their minds not related to the last portion of the party.
“Mario-san! We’re going to head out to Toad Town for a bit! You have any places in mind that would appeal well?” Haruka asked the red plumber, to which he place his hand on his chin to think for a moment. After a few seconds, two places came to mind.
“Haruka, you said you and-a Yayoi like-a to cook, right? Well, maybe you should-a drop-a by to-a Tayce-a-T.’s place? I’m-a sure you can-a learn much from her, given how she and-a Zess T. left-a some treats earlier.” Mario gave his suggestion to Haruka, who took that well. “Okay! We’d better check it out! I’d better see if Producer-san is interested..” With that, the ribboned Idol ran to check on the man, which left Makoto on the wing.
“Makoto, I-a do remember Tayce-a-T.’s brother, The Master, still has his dojo at the main square. Since you and-a Ritsuko seem to be skilled fighters as well, maybe you can-a spend some time there practicing what he knows on martial arts!”
“I’ll take up your offer. After what happened back in space with me crystallized, I think a little training regimen is in order!” Makoto smiled, but little did the boyishly handsome Idol expect was for Yumeko to overhear the conversation while coolly standing with her back to the wall and her arms crossed.
“Think I join in to watch, Makoto. Ryou could use a little toughening up as well!” the sidetailed Idol smirked, while the mentioned Idol frowned. “Aw, Yumeko, do we really have to?”
“Thanks a ton, Red! I can see why you’re so popular here!” Yumeko smiled as she exited, leaving Mario to scratch his head. “Mamma mia... with-a her and-a Ayane added, this is starting to get a little koo koo crazy already!”
“Well they are still teenage girls... well most of them if you consider that Azusa and Ritsuko are young adults...” Peach smiled nervously.

*Toad Town ~ Outside Tayce T.’s House*
Producer-san thought for a moment that during the entirety of the party Mario had been thinking of all of the Idols before himself and smiled as the trio reached the house.
*Insert Theme: “Toad Town ~ Tayce T.” (Paper Mario)
The trio entered the small house of the Toad chef, Tayce T., who was happy to see them. “Ah, hellow, my dears! You must be two of the young Idols and the Producer I’ve heard about lately. I am the chef here in Toad Town, Taye T. To what do I owe the pleasure?” The smiled smiled before kindly asking.
“Yayoi and I were wondering if we could learn a few recipes from you as a suggestion from Mario-san.” Haruka smiled to the nice lady. In addition, Producer-san gave his request. “Also, if you can, do you have a remedy you can cook that can cure Yukiho and Takane? Sadly, they both have ended up with a cold from a mean joke at the bathhouse... as do Wario and Waluigi, who started it.”
“My, my... I do believe some Spicy Soup made from steeped Fire Flowers should do the trick. In fact, I have some in reserve. As for you two... absolutely! I’ll be glad to share a few recipes with you two young’uns!” Tayce T. smiled before readying her ladle.
“Yay!!” The two Idols smiled, while Producer-san sighed a breath of relief.

Meanwhile, at the outskirts...

The pipe that appeared when Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi came out with the Idols along reappeared, and within moments, Reiji and Xiaomu pop out and land out their feet.
“So... this is the world the Idols went to? Seems much calmer compared to the Endless Frontier, but we can’t let down our guard, especially with the strange people here.” The zebra haired Shinra agent commented while surveying his surroundings.
“Hey, the sooner we find the Idols and Saya, the better, right Reiji?” Xiaomu turned to her superior, to which he nodded.
“Yeah... Saya. Who knows where she went...” Reiji crossed his arms and pondered their next course of action, but didn’t get a chance to speak as Kotori was flung out of the pipe with her arms flailing and landed flat on the Sage Fox with a splat.
*Insert Sound Effect: “Fred Drops the Ball” (The Flintstones)*
“YOWCH!!” Xiaomu yelped, while the surprised attendant gasped, got up, and apologized, of course, in tears. “Sumimasen, Xiaomu-san!!”
“...Just be careful next time, Kotori.... anyways, don’t you think we should split up to cover more ground? I’ll take Kotori and check southwards while you go solo and check the main square!”
“Perfect. We’ll meet back near that castle nearby.” Reiji nodded in approval and pointed at Peach’s castle. With that, the two Shinra agents and the attendant went their separate directions, not knowing Benjamin noticed them as he was making his rounds...
*Toad Town ~ Southern District*
Xiaomu and Kotori look around the district which held a few buildings, a pier leading to the sea, and a path to the Forever Forest. Along the way, the scent of fried tofu, warm soup being cooked, and some cakes being baked wafted into the Sage Fox’s nostrils.
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Agh! Won goph in mah mouph! Blech! Ptooey!" (Fire Emblem: Awakening)*
“Omigosh, that smell! I know the smell of fried tofu when I smell it!!” The Sag Fox gleefully chirped before grabbing Kotori’s arm and running to the source. “AIYYEEEEEE!!!!” The poor attendant screamed while being yanked into the air by Xiaomu’s frantic rushing as the Sage Fox began to ran to the source of the smell..
*Toad Town ~ Tayce T.’s House*
Haruka and Yayoi were enjoying making some cakes and Yoshi Cookies per instructions from the kind chef, as well as Zess T., who just left, while she got busy making the Spicy Soup needed to cure Yukiho and Takane, as well as a still frozen Wario and Waluigi. “Oh, by the way, dears, I’ve just received a package of tofu from Zess T. to try cooking. I hope it turns out great, considering this is the first time cooking it.” Tayce T. pointed to the spare oven she is using, showing a batch of fried tofu being cooked. As the Toad chef walked over to the oven to see if the tofu was ready, Xiaomu slammed opened the door with her mouth drooling.
“Is that fried tofu I smell?!” The Sage Fox yelped with glimmer in her eyes, losing grip on Kotori as the green haired attendant helpless flew straight into Producer-san!
*WHAM!!*

“K..Kotori-san??” The man responded weakly as the woman laid on his chest, pretty much seeing stars. Haruka and Yayoi stare dumbfounded as the flirty Shinra agent decided to help herself to the meal. “Itakadimasu!”
“My my, this is the first time I made fried tofu and already I have a satisfied customer!” Tayce T. smiled happily while Xiaomu helped herself. Producer-san managed to get himself up and looked at the fox girl. “An agent of Shinra??”
“Producer-san, what’s ‘Shinra’?” Haruka asked Producer-san in confusion, with Yayoi curiously joining in. The man, remembering hearing something before answered in a straight tone. “From what I’ve heard, Shinra’s a special organization affiliated with the Japanese government created to deal with supernatural phenomena and such. Other than that, I really don’t know the rest...”
Finished with the meal, Xiaomu explained her purpose in a cheery tone. “My superior Reiji and I were sent to check on a small disturbance near your place, which led us here. We thought you girls ended in some serious trouble, but it looks like we worried for nothing!” With that, she took notice of a Fire Flower in Tayce T.’s hand and asked kindly. “Ooh, can I try that out?”
“Wait a minute, dear! It’s not cooked yet!” Tayce T. pleaded, but the reply fell on deaf fox girl ears as she took a bite of the raw Fire flower and began to chew... But within moments, she felt a burning feeling in her mouth as her eyes began to water and her face began to turn a hot red....
*Insert Sound Effect: “Horn Blaring”
“YAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! HOT! HOT! WATER!! WATER!!!” The sound of Xiaomu’s scream echoed throughout the area.
*Insert Theme: “Happy Comrades” (Legend of Heroes: Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch)*
The poor Sage Fox, gripping her neck as it seemed that flames would begin to come out of her mouth, began to run frantically in circles as she began to desperately look for any source of water to drink. Kotori and Producer-san, as well as Haruka and Yayoi, sweatdropped as she decided to rush outside in hopes of finding something to cool her scorched tongue. “Producer-san... what was with that flower Xiaomu-san ate?”
Before the man could give an answer, Tayce T. decided to intervene. “Oh dear, the Fire Flower not only can give fire based powers, but is also used in making soup and a few explosive weapons... but is best not eaten raw... which you are now seeing the result..” Before any more words could be said, Xiaomu ran out of the district in a panicked frenzy, heading northwards screaming her superior’s name. She almost knocked over the chef Zess T., who was not looking forward to seeing Mario again. The surly chef turned and looked. “..What was that?! Whoever it was sure can run faster than Stompy!” (Mario, in case you don’t know.)

Meanwhile, at the Central Square...

Reiji quietly walked alone around the block in search of valuable information, talking to the townsfolk to see if they had met anyone suspicious. He was at the Toad’s Goods shop talking with the proprietor. “..Yeah, so a couple of days ago, I was readying my sale of Super Mushrooms, until that blonde girl started nibbling at my merchandise! I was starting to lose my cool, especially since the man she was with had no idea what Coins are, when Mario intervened..” Having a feeling of knowing who the shopkeeper was talking about, Reiji pulled out Xiaomu’s poster of the Idols and pointed at Miki. “I take it she’s the one?”
The shop clerk responded quickly as if his spine got stiffened up. “Yes that’s her! Now that you mention it, ALL the Idols, as well as their producers, are staying over at Princess Peach’s castle, bless her soul! They all are to participate in the Dimension Comet party that is held every 200 years”
Reiji wanted to ask more questions, sparking interest of this “Dimension Comet”, but then heard a sound from the nearby dojo run by the Master, so he decided to end the conversation and go have a look.
*Toad Town ~ The Master’s Dojo*
*Insert Theme: “Master Battle” (Paper Mario)*
The zebra haired Shinra agent entered the small dojo to see Makoto sparring against the Master in martial arts, with Ritsuko, Ryou, and Yumeko watching. “Come at me, young Makoto!!”
“With pleasure!” Makoto cried before launching few blows against the powerful Toad, who skillfully blocked the attacks, except one which he grazed. “Ah, you have some slight skill for a teen idol! It feels that within your blows there is a will to protect those precious to you and are willing to recover from the sting of a past defeat!” Makoto, thinking about Yukiho and Ryou, and the moment she was trapped in crystal then turned to the powerful Toad with a fire in her eyes. “I want to be there for my friends. The time Bowser Jr. encased me in crystal proved that I still have much to learn.”
“Hmph... very well, prove to me the strength of your resolve!” The Master proclaimed as the two fighters threw their best punches in a collision course. ..However, experience paid out in the end as the force threw Makoto into the wall. The tomboyish Idol rubbed the back of her head, yet somehow the Master smiled. “You do not need to overpower me to show how devoted to your friends you are. I could see the spirit within your own eyes. Never forget that determination that drove you to face me and apply it in your future endeavors, young one.”
Makoto got herself up and bowed down in respect. “Thank you, Sensei.” Just then, the Master heard Reiji’s footsteps as she walked inside. “Ah, we have yet another new face. Welcome”

Ritsuko looked at Reiji as he stood silently, with Yumeko growing a little suspicious and Ryou looking a little unnerved. “What’s an agent of Shinra doing here?” The young producer responded with a suspicious look on her face, to which Reiji crossed his arms and eyed Ritsuko. “I could ask the same of you all. What are you all doing in this world?”
Seeing no other way out of the mess, Ritsuko decided that the best choice of action was to explain to Reiji everything that has happened so far in the party. A brief look of astoundment was on the man’s face when he heard that some of the Idols were actually kidnapped by Bowser, only to be foiled by Mario constantly and the girls returned safe and unharmed. He also grew a slight interest of the items used that gave special powers temporarily to whoever procured the item. After a couple of minutes of explaining, Reiji scratched his head, trying to take all the information in. “it’s... hard to believe.. but it looks like this Mario character is doing all he can in his power to make sure your experience in this ‘Party’ is safe and enjoyable, though the thought of Bowser having them as bridesmaids is completely absurd, though my partner Xiaomu would like to dress the part, knowing her... speaking of Xiaomu, I wonder...” The man began to think for a moment, but his answer came to him as a familiar voice was heard...

“REEEEEIIIIIJJJJIII!!!!!”
*Toad Town ~ Central Square*
“Insert Theme: “Goose and Shirla” (Legend of Heroes: Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch)*
Xiaomu ran across the street with flames in her mouth, grabbing her superior’s attention, as well as Mario and Peach, who walked out of the castle to retrieve the groups and the Spicy Soup needed.
“Mama mia... now dat’s-a something you don’t-a see every day...” The red plumber stared at the frantic fox girl.
“Mario... it looks like the girl’s mouth is on fire!” Peach pointed out the flames seething out to which Mario had an idea. He reached for the post office’s hose and turned on the nozzle, spray cold water on Xiaomu, soaking and cooling her mouth.
*End Theme*
“Ptth..pthooey... arigatou!” Xiaomu smiled after wringing her chinadress and vest clean.
“No problem!” Mario smiled, but when the Sage Fox got herself up and stared at the red hero, she gasped. “Omigosh!! You... you’re.. you’re THE Super Mario, right?!”
“Da one and only!” Mario smiled, but just then, Producer-san, as well as Haruka and Yayoi, who were holding the bowls of Spicy Soup as well as cakes and cookies that they made, rush in. “Mario-san! Thank goodness you saved her! The soup is up and ready!”
“Dat’s-a great news, Produca! And Peachy and I have just-a found out dat da next part of da party is at Yoshi’s Island!” Mario beamed happily which excited the Idols.
*Insert Theme: “Delfino Airstrip” (Super Mario Sunshine)*
Just as the laughter began, Reiji walked over towards the red hero and looked at him at eye level, seeing how he is taller than the plumber. “I take it you are this ‘Mario’ I keep hearing about?”
Mario began to give a tense look at the man. “Yes.... And who are-a you? I don’t think I’ve eva seen you around-a before...”
“Reiji Arisu, Shinra agent.” Reiji answered in a serious tone. But before the situation could escalate, Benjamin rushed in his humanoid form. “Whoa, hold on there!”
Reiji turned to see the omnidimensional enigma. “Wait a minute... do I know you?”
Peach then stepped forward to reason with the man. “Please, sir. I’m the one who asked to bring the Idols over, and they agreed to come of their own free will!” The man looked at the Princess and saw the honesty in her eyes. “..So, this is the princess of the place? Seems meeker and more aware of her clothes compared to Kaguya...” (Kaguya Nanbu from Endless Frontier, for those who don’t know.. Her outfit and bust size... um.. let’s just back on topic, shall we?) Afterwards, Zess T. arrived with Kotori in tow. “She seems to be look for a ‘producer-san’, whoever that is. I hope that’s not you, Mr. Stomps on Stuff!”
Mario, seeing how things got out of hand already, frowned. “..I might-a need some help..”

*Bowser’s Castle ~ Outside Bowser’s Master Bedroom*
*Insert Theme: “Bowser’s Castle” (Mario Kart: Double Dash!!)*
Kammy Koopa hovered on her broom with two other subordinates besides Corporal Paraplonk to the door of Bowsers room, while Kamek stood watching. “Kamek. Is His Highness behind these doors?”
The Magikoopa turned to see the Magikoopa matriarch and the two subordinates. “Mother? And... Private Goomp and Sergeant Guy?” The high ranking Goomba responded quickly. “Yes, Sir!” The high ranking Shy Guy also responded as well by telling the reason why the two of them were here. “Lady Kammy ordered us to accompany her to the king so we can be of use to him.”
“Likely so.” Kammy nodded in approval at the henchman while adjusting her glasses, then turned to her son. “Now, I'll ask you AGAIN, boy. Is His Majesty behind those doors?”
Kamek gave a hard sigh and tilted his head before answering. “Yes, Mother. But now is not a good opportunity to meet him, His Sobbiness and the prince are having some alone time together after what we went through...” The Magikoopa turned to again hear the loud sobbing noise belonging to Bowser resonate throughout the area, with Kammy knowing the reason.
“Alone time? He's crying a wells' amount of tears again? From all that happened in space about Mario getting in the way, rescuing Peach and a captured Idol, destroying the Convertor and having his empire-to-be destroyed by Black Holes...” The Magikoopa matriarch yapped while her son frowned. “Those are like taking a thousand low blows down there...”
“Mhmn. Well, I will wait til' he's done... I don't want repeat the last time I went in there unannounced...” Kammy decided on the course of action for the moment, recalling how many times she got scorched by Bowser for disturbing him. Kamek also understood the feeling as he waited as well. “Tell me about it. We had to rush for a fire extinguisher.”
*End Theme, Insert Theme: ‘Sadness and Happiness” (Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door)*
After a couple of minutes, Bowser came out of the room with his son in tow, his large eyes swollen from all the tears shed.
“Are you okay now, Sires?” Kamek took the time to ask first, to which the Koopa Prince answered first. “*Sniff* Yup...”
Goomp and Sergeant Guy walk over to the Koopa King, having been informed by Paraplonk earlier today. The highly ranked Goomba started first. “Paraplonk told us what happened while you were away, Your Majesties...”
“We're sorry things didn't go the way you wanted... it must have been dreadful- but all that matters is you all came back in one piece.” Sergeant Guy finished the statement, to which Bowser could only respond with one word. “... Somehow.”
“Huh?” Private Goomp and Sergeant Guy respond with question marks over their heads. To which Bowser redirected his focus. “Never mind. What do you want?”
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Map Theme” (Yoshi’s Island)*
Kamek turned to his mother for the news. “Mother, would you like to go first?” The old crone nodded and gave the scoop. “My king, I determined through divination that the next event is on Yoshi's Island.”
“Yoshi’s Island?” Bowser Jr. asked in confusion, to which Kamek answered promptly. “Yes, my prince. And the ruins of one the castles your father lived in when he was a prince would provide us shelter to hide.”
Bowser began to recall the exact castle through his memories. “One of my childhood castles, hm? I'll bet the place is still rotten and torn up. But it'll do. What about you two?”
Goomp pulled out a bulletin from out of nowhere and explained. “I have word from Corporal Paraplonk and an update on the Grand Doomship. Paraplonk did a count of returning soldiers again and... it seems a Koopa Troopa didn't enter the castle.”
*End Theme with Record Scratch sound*
“What?” The mighty Koopa King froze for a moment of what Goomp said, making the Goomba begin to sweat erratically while he continued his report. “P-Paraplonk said everyone was safe and sound after the horrifying Black Hole experience... a-and hypothosizes this K-Koopa walked out on us and went home...”
Kamek began to blow his top as he shouted. “Such insubordination!! Does he realize that deserting us is an unforgivable crime against the Koopa Troop?!” Bowser, on the other hand, calmed down, knowing the very reason WHY the Koopa left the troop in the first place, what with the incident that put EVERY one of the Troop, as well as Mario and the Idols, in perilous danger. “... After all that had happened in the Center of the Universe, I can't blame him for leaving me after putting everyone in such unpredictable unthinkable danger...”
“EH?!” The two Magikoopas stare at Bowser, wondering if something had hit his head, but the Koopa King, showing an optimistic smile, responded. “But one day, I WILL SUCCEED in conquering the Universe. I just need a better and safer plan. What about my Grand Doomship, Private Goomp?”
Goop, feeling that he had just escaped from the oven of Bowser’s would be wrath, eagerly looked up to his king and smiles. “OH! Yes! We installed the fifth wing to the Grand Doomship and preparations for the sixth wing are currently underway. Is there anything else we should do on it, Sire?”
*Insert Theme: “Battle Preparations” (Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks)*
“Hold on for a moment, Private. Sergeant Guy, what do you have?” Bowser responded as he turned to Sergeant Guy, who then gave his report. “My lord, Koopa Troop Epsilon Gamma Nu informed that the neccessary things to make the Sticky Cannonball for the Grand Doomships cannons are found and the recovery of young lady Wendy and young lord Larry was successful. They are currently in the Medical Ward.”
Bowser, happy to see that Wendy, who was knocked away during the Dance Battle with Haruka and Chihaya at Glamour Street, and Larry, who was sent flying out of Isle Delfino during the battle with Gooper Blooper, are alright and accounted for, began to smile of the more than satisfactory results as he gave his orders. “This is excellent news indeed! And seeing that there are five wings now, that means there are seven more to go. Alright, Private: Tell Paraplonk to assemble some teams with very important specific assignments for each. You continue your observations on the Grand Doomship and its expansions and give this list of additions to the Shipmaster. Sergeant: You're coming with us to Yoshi's Island, I want you on standby for the moment until further notice.” The superior of the Shy Guys in Bowser’s troop saluted. “Yes sir.” As the troops began to prepare for their tasks, Bowser had one last thought on his mind.
“And, hopefully, I can at least get some payback on a certain little Yoshi from many years ago...”

That’s the end of another chapter! The path is set for Yoshi’s Island, so if anyone remembers the Chief of the Yoshis there, he’ll be involved! But with Bowser planning something there, will the Idols be safe form the greedy king’s clutches, even with Reiji and Xiaomu involved? Find out next chapter!
