Description
CrystalPhoenixBlader here, once again bringing another chapter to the fanfic! Quite the Dance event we have last chapter, but now the group knows of the kidnappings of Chief Yoshi and Kotori and are headed to the volcanic region of Yoshi’s Island. Will a plan be made in time for the rescue? Find out!
Disclaimer time again: I do not own any of the Mario characters or the iDOLMASTER characters; the Mario characters belong to Nintendo and the iDOLMASTER charcters belong to Namco Bandai. Also, the characters “Reiji Arisu”, “Xiaomu”, and “Saya” belong to Namco Bandai and Monolift Soft. In addition, the character “Boshi” belongs to Nintendo and Square Enix. So with all that aside, let’s return to the flowery party!

Chapter 59
Yayoi Feeling Replaced!? No Friend Can Replace Another!
*Yoshi’s Island ~ Floral Field Forest*
*Insert Theme: “Wildlands” (Yoshi’s Island DS)*
Two turns have passed and the party continues while Peach, Moyoshi, and Benjamin, along with Reiji and Xiaomu, plan the rescue mission to the rebuilt castle of Bowser. However, not everything was going in a clean slate as Yukiho, who accidently stepped on the Red ? Space the past turn, and as a result, the already hated Gemini Piranha Vorbubud, who gulped Mario, Yoshi, Iori, and the Shinra duo before, gulped her as well. The turned had passed and the creature coughed her out.
“Bwaaugh... Kya! Oof...!” Yukiho groaned as she fell on the floor all covered with the creature’s saliva. The timid Idol looked at herself and frowned. “... Uuuuu... I'm so slimy...” Afterwards, the poor girl began to feel depressed again. “My bad luck comes back to bite me again after all that pepping up...”
“Are you all right?!” Makoto called out from outside the board, quickly getting her friend’s attention as she looked at her best friend. “Hai!”
“Don't let something like that get you down, Yukiho! Buck up!” Makoto tried to give some much needed encouragement to Yukiho, to which she fortunately listened and smiled as she shook some saliva off her arm. “R-Right!”

Meanwhile, Benjamin, as well as Peach, Moyoshi, the veteran Yoshis, Benjamin, Producer-san, and the Shinra Pair discuss their plans for the rescue.
"But Bowser may have had his childhood abode rebuilt and the internal layout may have entirely changed during the renovation..." Benjamin pointed out, checking the map of Yoshi’s Island that was removed from the wall of Chief Yoshi’s home to a large wooden table. Reiji scratched his as he thought of the sudden appearance of the place. “How can he have his oldest home reconstructed so quickly?”
“Maybe his constructive workers are numerous and quick in teamwork effort?” Xiaomu looked at her superior and scratched her head as she thought of the most possible theory of how the old castle is rebuilt. Moyoshi looked at the Sage Fox with her answer to the hypothesis. “If that's what Bowser has done while everyone was playing, there's possibly there's no way the old paths there will be the same as the time when we were saving Luigi when he was a baby. They might not be there anymore. Sorry if this isn't helpful...”
“It's okay, Moyoshi-san. So, it's back to going in blind. We need to plan harder now.” Producer-san smiled as he placed his hand on the mother Yoshi’s shoulder. Peach thought for a moment as she spoke. “Mmmh. Yes, we'll think of something that will work. Hopefully one that doesn't put anyone in harm's way.” Producer-san was quick to accept the princess’ proposal after everything that had happened so far... especially back in space! “I say, ‘hear hear’ to that, Hime.”
“Wish that was possible...” Reiji sighed after quietly recalling all that he had to go through since the start of the Flux Wars at the crossroads in Shibuya.

*SOME TIME LATER*
*Insert Theme: “Not Gonna Lose” (Mario Party 2)*
The second to last main mini game, “Musical Mushroom” had four of the contestants, Mario, Ritsuko, Luigi, and Iori run around the large mushroom to the music until it abruptly stopped, to which the four contestants frantically rush to the lone chest on top. However, to no surprise with her being pretty agile, Iori took the win as she blew a kiss to the camera held by a hired Lakitu. The last one, called “Honeycomb Havoc”, had participants collect fruit and Coins. However, honeycombs full of bees were included and Yoshi, Ryou, and Magikoopa ended up with the bad end of the stick as they eventually ended up with honeycombs and got chased away by bees, leaving Yukiho to sigh a breath of relief. Done with the mini games, the contestants went back to the group.
“Haaaa...! Finally, we finished the last mini-game!” Haruka smiled, even though she did not get the victory in the last mini game. Mario, agreeing with the ribbon wearing Idol as he wiped his sweat off his brow, smiled as well. “Hoo hoooo! That was-a fantastic!”
“Now, we are-a ready to go to the castle!” Luigi nodded as he turned to their very own planning committee. Ritsuko was the first to go as she asked the group in charge of the plan. “Have you all finished making a plan?”
*insert Sound Effect: “Crickets Chirping”*
“It's complicated, Ritsuko. Benjamin-san says the castle ruins may have been rebuilt while the party was going and this completely changed Moyoshi's strategy to help us infiltrate the castle.” Producer-san broke the silence as he gave the report, which made Ritsuko sigh and put her hands on her hips. “That does complicate your planning...” Iori tilted her head and disdain and cursed. “Baka producer...”
*End theme with a slur and with Sound: “Ding!”*
Yoshi, not feeling very confident of this unneeded setback as he pressed his hand against his face and shook his head in disdain, then took his turn to give his comment. “Eugh... How are we going to save my dad without a plan...?” Mario, unfazed of the setback as he gave a danger-defiant expression known to all his friends, smiled as his looked at his dinosaur pal. “Have Luigi and I ever needed a plan when I charge into Bowser's-a castles before, my ol' friend?” Yoshi, realizing his brave friend’s triumphs as he began to recall that gaze used so many times for counted that he closed his eyes a bit, then reopened them with a gaze of his own. “Mario, you're right.”
*insert Theme: “Super Bell Hill” (Super Mario 3D World)*
“Going in recklessly without knowing what dangers are inside?” Ryou asked in complete uncertainty with Yumeko staring at her with no comment. Ritsuko, however pressed her palm on her face, wondering in thought. “Either there's stupidity backing up that recklessness or bravery...”
“Bravery, Ritsuko. Show the bros some respect." Benjamin interrupted the idol/producer’s thoughts, making her stiffen and her jaw to once again fall to the ground.
*Insert Sound Effects: “Crash and Glass Break”*
“Wha--?! Benja--! Ohhhh, moving on...! So we're going in blind for the rescue?” Ritsuko sputtered before hastily returning to topic, to which the witty interdimensional being simply answered. "Most likely. But it will give some time for me to get a lock on to the whereabouts of Kotori and the Chieftain."
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Dear My Friend ~ Instrumental Version” (Sonic Unleashed)*
While there was talking going on considering the chance to infiltrate the rebuilt castle, Yayoi, looking a little sad and lonely, approaches Iori and quietly taps her shoulder to get her attention.
“Iori-chan?” The puffy haired Idol quietly asked, enough for the rich girl to quickly respond. “Nnn? Yeah, Yayoi?”
The puffy haired Idol then started to look like she was about to cry when she began to look down as she began to speak. “Ano... Iori-chan, ever since we've arrived in this dimension, you... you've been around Yoshi-chan a lot more than me...” Iori quickly responded by pressing her finger on Yayoi’s lips, quickly silencing her. Before long, Iori opened her eyes and gave a kindhearted smile as she began to speak. “Yayoi, I don't want to hear that from you... and I'm sure you don't hear that coming from me, too. As much as I like Yoshi-san... You should already know that no friend replaces another, right?”
“Iori-chan...” Yayoi looked at Iori’s bright eyes for a moment as she realized how sincerely honest her friend is a she mustered the strength to get get her ever cheerful smile back on her face. “You're right, my best friend. A new friend never replaces an old friend. Thanks for reminding me that, Iori-chan.” With that, the two friends kindly hug each other. Fortunately for the two young Idols, the group was too busy with their plan to rescue Chief Yoshi and Kotori to notice, except for Yoshi himself, who smiled and understood as he kept quiet.

Back to the meeting, the plan to get to the castle was being decided as Daisy gave out the last question before the meeting could be adjourned. “Is there anything else we need to know before we conclude this meeting and head to big bad B's hideaway?” Azusa raised her hand and gave her comment. “Well, as long as I'm following you there, I won't get lost, right?” The comment made Reiji confused as he was polishing his weapons to make sure they were ready. “She's sure been commenting that sort of subject, hasn't she...?”
Xiaomu, quick to respond, got herself up after polishing her weapons and answered her superior’s question with a little fact she learned of the wayward Idol, answering with a cheerful wink to top it off. “That's 'cause Azusa's the only Idol with no sense of direction and she tends to get lost often, Reiji.”
*TOING!!!*
“Thanks for telling me that embarrassing information...” Reiji sweat dropped as if a basin pan just hit his head as he finished polishing up Gold and put it back on his rack.
Peach then raised her hand as she looked at the Dimension Comet itself flying in the daylight. “Well, Moyoshi and I do. It involves the Dimension Comet.”
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “The Legend of the Babylonians” (Sonic Riders)*
Moyoshi then stepped forward as she began to retell a legend held by the Yoshi tribe. “Yes. You see... a thousand years ago, the Dimension Comet's light brought down a crystal epitaph with a message engraved saying, ‘To the inhabitants who dwell on the lone island in the seas, by the thousandth year of this comet's coming, the leader and the chosen together will raise their prayers to summon the light upon their kind's coming generation, granting the youth power and bless the earth with a eternal harvest of dimension's bounties.’ Our ancestors kept this reminder as a blessing from above. But over the passing thousand years, it was long forgotten until it was found 200 years ago during the comet's previous coming and the Yoshis of that time have been keeping time straight on course until this day comes.” D.K. then stepped forward as if he knew of the legend in particular. “Those barrels me and Benjamin were carrying contained seeds that were requested for the mentioned harvest. The seeds weren't only from my island and Isle Delfino...”
"Yes, some those seeds came from my Birth Dimension and also the dimension I resided in long ago." Benjamin pointed out a personal subject, which got the attention of the Idols, with Yukiho being the first to get all curious. “Birth Dimension?”

“The dimension you lived in? I wonder what your home is like...” Makoto, who was near Yukiho at the time, began to think for a moment, but Peach, deciding to get back on topic, told of the consequences if Chief Yoshi isn’t rescued. “Yes... Aside from that, those things can't be accomplished without Chief Yoshi. The harvest's fruits won't grow rich and delicious and the newborns won't become strong.” That of course greatly displeased Takane as she pulled his revolver out from nowhere and refilled it with ammo, much to Luigi’s shock from seeing her use it against King Boo, and Reiji, who was startled that she had a weapon to begin with. “Now that's unacceptable. It seems we have to save Chief Yoshi more than ever.”
*Insert Theme: “Heroic” (Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness)*
“Hang on, Dad. We're going to get you and Ms. Kotori out.” Knowing that his father’s courage was truly inherited in him as he got Iori, and, because she didn’t want to leave her friend’s side yet, Yayoi on his saddle, Yoshi opened his eyes with a firm stare full of resolve and courage as he spoke. “Let's get this rescue underway!
“Then, we suppose you're ready...” The red vetran Yoshi smiled, while his blue pal then helped take lead in place of Chief Yoshi. “It's best to follow us. We know our way to the island's volcanic region and every veteran is eager to save our friend.” Moyoshi, being a veteran too, then announced. “Then let's go save my husband and Ms. Kotori from Bowser right now.” Producer-san was eager to help as well as he turned to the Idols. “Everyone, let's do our best in helping out.” The Idols all cheer, ready as ever to get the rescue underway, unfazed of the danger that lay ahead. Mario walked to the veteran Yoshis with a confident Luigi in tow as he beat his chest and spoke with pride. “My side's-a ready as evah, me and Luigi have something we should have done for da Chief long ago! Let's-a go!”
As the Yoshis, Team Mario, and all of the Idol start on their trek to the volcanic region of the island, Benjamin looked at the group for a moment with a smile. “Hnph... I simply can get you're ready because you’re determined, Mario. I really like that in you and plenty others with that inside. But also to do one's best can be invigorating... yet, idle talk of doing one's best won't do a thing but waste wind. I suppose I'll have to lend a hand in this rescue as well.” With that in mind, the interdimensional being in the form of a cyan Yoshi decided to catch up with the group without hesitation.
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Evil Profusion” (Namco x Capcom)*
Unknown to the group, Saya happened to somehow sneak her way into the area as she saw the group and mange to overhear their conversation as they left. “Now they're heading to Bowser? Well, this would be perfect. I guess they can give the big cheese a piece of my mind from earlier. Let's see what happens.” The werefox smirked as she decided to use stealth to to watch their actions from the shadows... if she wasn’t accidentally sitting on a Wiggler, that is! The large caterpillar easily lost its temper and roared. “So, you like sitting on me, fox lady?! HOW WOULD LIKE BEING THE CHAIR INSTEAD?!”
“YIKES!!” The werefox yelped as she had no choice but to knock the creature unconscious using her technique, Shunka Shuuto.... and getting dirt all over her frame. “Oh man... I really need a nice bath now... but I have to tail the boy and the Idols... what a weird world this is...” Saya frowned as she disappeared into the shadows like a ninja and followed the group in secret.

*A FEW HOURS LATER...*
*Yoshi’s Island ~ Volcanic Region*
*Insert Theme: “Underground” (Yoshi’s Island)*
The volcanic region, which was originally dormant until Bowser returned, is very active now, the old paths covered, but the lava flow had unearthed new paths for the group to tread. Skeleton Goonies, Blarggs, Tap Taps, Chomps, and Pyro Guys, Shy Guys who have caught themselves on fire, make their home in this barren wasteland, adding life to the otherwise desolate pathway to the rebuilt castle. Oddly, the castles along the way were long destroyed and abandoned , adding less difficulty this time as the group marched quietly.
Blooper, looking a little crispy already, frowned in bitterness as he sweated to the intense heat of the area. “Great, more lava...! And I got out from soaking to see more...”
“This is impossible... the region was supposed to be dormant...! The lava flows were supposed to be ceased!” Moyoshi’s jaw fell to the ground at the sight of the lava, to which the brown veteran did not take too well. “Aww, I don't want to get my tail burned again!”
“Well, it seems-a Bowsa knew a way to get the lava back-a up-a runnin' again...” Mario gave his two Coins as he walked and looked around. Reiji looked around and the confusion of how the Koopa King managed to make a dormant volcano active again was beginning to annoy him to no end. “How can Bowser do something like this?!” To answer the agent’s question, tremors rumbled nearby, even enough to startle Chihaya. “N-NOT THIS AGAIN!”
Within sight was a large mechanical Monty Mole vehicle with drill claws and a drill nose crashes through the plateau with lava surging behind it, clawing through the obsidian like it was just made of stone. Reiji looked at the mechanical monstrosity and gaped in shock. “Oh, I see.”
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Danger!” (Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door)*
Yukiho, losing her footing as the obsidian was beginning to break apart, began to plummet. “KYAAAA!!!”
“Yukiho!” Makoto yelped, ready to rush to save her friend, but Boshi, who also came along, cut ahead of her. “I GOT YOU” Quickly acting, the crude blue Yoshi used his own long tongue to catch her. Unfortunately, since the tongue was too moist, Yukiho’s leg slipped off as she began to fall again, scaring Producer-san. “NO!”
“AAAAAAAA-aaaaahhhhh...Huh???” Yukiho screamed, fearing that she would meet a fiery end... only to end up landing on top of Poochy, who turned large all of a sudden, as well as safely swimming on the surface of the lava unscathed. The group gasped as Yukiho landed butt first on the hound. “AHHH!”
“Nice save, boy!” Yoshi smiled at his beloved dog, to which he happily barked back. “Wuff wuff!”
Yukiho took a few seconds to notice that she landed on top of Poochy, and, without warning, with her hair standing on end like a cat who encountered an really unhappy canine, rocketed off the friendly dog screaming. “KYAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! NOOOOOOOO!” The mere sight of that made Makoto groan in disappointed disdain. Boshi, clearly humiliated by Yoshi’s beloved pet, grumbled a little too loudly. “Stupid dog! You made me look bad!” (Boshi, that’s Poochy, not Courage. Since when did you channel Eustace?)

"POOCHY AIN'T STUPID!!!" The combined angry shouts of Yoshi, Moyoshi, Iori, Takane, Hibiki and the Veteran Yoshis were more than enough the make Boshi flinch and reel. The rude Yoshi was down on his knees, rubbing his ears to get rid of that ringing feeling. “Geeeeez...!”
*Yoshi’s Island ~ Bowser’s Rebuilt Castle ~ Front Entrance*
*Insert theme: “Koopa’s Road” (Super Mario 64)*
The group had successfully and safely arrived at Bowser’s rebuilt castle. The veteran Yoshis noticed that the castle looked just the same as it did years ago... only now that an inclusion of Bowser’s scowling face was added for extra intimidation!
“So it was rebuilt... it's now more frightening than ever!” The purple veteran looked very intimidated, while Reiji, who crossed his arms, looked unintimidated at all as he thought for a moment. “I think I've seen more threatening places...”
“Well, here we are.” Moyoshi gazed at the place with the Idols with shivers down their spines. Producer-san took a single step further to look at the metal doors. “Now to get inside. But how? These doors are big!” But before the man could make a plan, Waluigi casually walked by him and, using his extra long legs and a dancing twil, the long legged miscreant kicked the doors aside, even sending them to the other side with a thud! “That’s how, ladies and gentleman!” The group stood in silence, having no response, except for Wario, who eagerly cracked his knuckles. “Well! Time to smash some shells!”
“Not quite the entry I had in mind, but it'll work!” Daisy shrugged but sighed as there really seemed to be no security whatsoever at the entrance. Before marching inside, Mario gave a polite gesture in what he said. “Ladies first?”
“With pleasure, Mario-san!” Haruka cheerfully accepted the offer as she and the other Idols went inside first before the princesses, Toadette, Xiaomu, and Moyoshi. The males soon followed after that...

*Yoshi’s Island ~ Bowser’s Castle ~ Throne Room*
*insert Theme: “Bowser’s theme” (Mario & Luigi: Dream Team)*
Bowser was having a quiet moment to himself until he heard the front doors get knocked aside. “Wh-What was that?!”
Without hesitation, as if by instinctual response, two Koopatrols enter the room. The first Koopatrol reported immediately to the Koopa King. “Reporting just now, Your Disturbedness!” The second Koopatrol, deciding that long reports are not needed at a time like this, he decided to give the short yet precise version. “To put this simply... MARIO'S GROUP IS INVADING THE CASTLE!!!”
“So Mario brought his posse and the Idols to my newly rebuilt childhood abode, huh? You there, inform Kammy to meet me in here immediately! And you, Rally the Koopa Troop and activate the traps!” Bowser realized the threat and gave his orders to the two Koopatrols.
“SIRE!” The two armored turtles accept the order with a salute before leaving the room posthaste, leaving Bowser to smile with a taste for revenge. “Mario and Luigi. And you, too, Yoshi. If you think you're going to save the chief, you and your fossil fools better be ready for some nasty deadly surprises!” And, soon enough, the Koopa King’s red eyes glow ominously in the darkness...

Mario and the Idols have successfully infiltrated the rebuilt castle of Bowser, with a little help from Waluigi this time! But what tricks, trasp, and nasty surprises has the Koopa King prepared for them? You just have to stay tuned and see!

“Now, we are-a ready to go to the castle!” Luigi nodded as he turned to their very own planning committee. Ritsuko was the first to go as she asked the group in charge of the plan. “Have you all finished making a plan?”

“It's complicated, Ritsuko. Benjamin-san says the castle ruins may have been rebuilt while the party was going and this completely changed Moyoshi's strategy to help us infiltrate the castle.” Producer-san broke the silence as he gave the report, which made Ritsuko sigh and put her hands on her hips. “That does complicate your planning...” Iori tilted her head and disdain and cursed. “Baka producer...”
*End theme with a slur and with Sound: “Ding!”*
Yoshi, not feeling very confident of this unneeded setback as he pressed his hand against his face and shook his head in disdain, then took his turn to give his comment. “Eugh... How are we going to save my dad without a plan...?” Mario, unfazed of the setback as he gave a danger-defiant expression known to all his friends, smiled as his looked at his dinosaur pal. “Have Luigi and I ever needed a plan when I charge into Bowser's-a castles before, my ol' friend?” Yoshi, realizing his brave friend’s triumphs as he began to recall that gaze used so many times for counted that he closed his eyes a bit, then reopened them with a gaze of his own. “Mario, you're right.”

“Going in recklessly without knowing what dangers are inside?” Ryou asked in complete uncertainty with Yumeko staring at her with no comment. Ritsuko, however pressed her palm on her face, wondering in thought. “Either there's stupidity backing up that recklessness or bravery...”
“Bravery, Ritsuko. Show the bros some respect." Benjamin interrupted the idol/producer’s thoughts, making her stiffen and her jaw to once again fall to the ground.
*Insert Sound Effects: “Crash and Glass Break”*
“Wha--?! Benja--! Ohhhh, moving on...! So we're going in blind for the rescue?” Ritsuko sputtered before hastily returning to topic, to which the witty interdimensional being simply answered. "Most likely. But it will give some time for me to get a lock on to the whereabouts of Kotori and the Chieftain."

While there was talking going on considering the chance to infiltrate the rebuilt castle, Yayoi, looking a little sad and lonely, approaches Iori and quietly taps her shoulder to get her attention.
“Iori-chan?” The puffy haired Idol quietly asked, enough for the rich girl to quickly respond. “Nnn? Yeah, Yayoi?”
The puffy haired Idol then started to look like she was about to cry when she began to look down as she began to speak. “Ano... Iori-chan, ever since we've arrived in this dimension, you... you've been around Yoshi-chan a lot more than me...” Iori quickly responded by pressing her finger on Yayoi’s lips, quickly silencing her. Before long, Iori opened her eyes and gave a kindhearted smile as she began to speak. “Yayoi, I don't want to hear that from you... and I'm sure you don't hear that coming from me, too. As much as I like Yoshi-san... You should already know that no friend replaces another, right?”
“Iori-chan...” Yayoi looked at Iori’s bright eyes for a moment as she realized how sincerely honest her friend is a she mustered the strength to get get her ever cheerful smile back on her face. “You're right, my best friend. A new friend never replaces an old friend. Thanks for reminding me that, Iori-chan.” With that, the two friends kindly hug each other. Fortunately for the two young Idols, the group was too busy with their plan to rescue Chief Yoshi and Kotori to notice, except for Yoshi himself, who smiled and understood as he kept quiet.

Back to the meeting, the plan to get to the castle was being decided as Daisy gave out the last question before the meeting could be adjourned. “Is there anything else we need to know before we conclude this meeting and head to big bad B's hideaway?” Azusa raised her hand and gave her comment. “Well, as long as I'm following you there, I won't get lost, right?” The comment made Reiji confused as he was polishing his weapons to make sure they were ready. “She's sure been commenting that sort of subject, hasn't she...?”
Xiaomu, quick to respond, got herself up after polishing her weapons and answered her superior’s question with a little fact she learned of the wayward Idol, answering with a cheerful wink to top it off. “That's 'cause Azusa's the only Idol with no sense of direction and she tends to get lost often, Reiji.”
*TOING!!!*
“Thanks for telling me that embarrassing information...” Reiji sweat dropped as if a basin pan just hit his head as he finished polishing up Gold and put it back on his rack.
Peach then raised her hand as she looked at the Dimension Comet itself flying in the daylight. “Well, Moyoshi and I do. It involves the Dimension Comet.”

Moyoshi then stepped forward as she began to retell a legend held by the Yoshi tribe. “Yes. You see... a thousand years ago, the Dimension Comet's light brought down a crystal epitaph with a message engraved saying, ‘To the inhabitants who dwell on the lone island in the seas, by the thousandth year of this comet's coming, the leader and the chosen together will raise their prayers to summon the light upon their kind's coming generation, granting the youth power and bless the earth with a eternal harvest of dimension's bounties.’ Our ancestors kept this reminder as a blessing from above. But over the passing thousand years, it was long forgotten until it was found 200 years ago during the comet's previous coming and the Yoshis of that time have been keeping time straight on course until this day comes.” D.K. then stepped forward as if he knew of the legend in particular. “Those barrels me and Benjamin were carrying contained seeds that were requested for the mentioned harvest. The seeds weren't only from my island and Isle Delfino...”
"Yes, some those seeds came from my Birth Dimension and also the dimension I resided in long ago." Benjamin pointed out a personal subject, which got the attention of the Idols, with Yukiho being the first to get all curious. “Birth Dimension?”

“The dimension you lived in? I wonder what your home is like...” Makoto, who was near Yukiho at the time, began to think for a moment, but Peach, deciding to get back on topic, told of the consequences if Chief Yoshi isn’t rescued. “Yes... Aside from that, those things can't be accomplished without Chief Yoshi. The harvest's fruits won't grow rich and delicious and the newborns won't become strong.” That of course greatly displeased Takane as she pulled his revolver out from nowhere and refilled it with ammo, much to Luigi’s shock from seeing her use it against King Boo, and Reiji, who was startled that she had a weapon to begin with. “Now that's unacceptable. It seems we have to save Chief Yoshi more than ever.”

“Hang on, Dad. We're going to get you and Ms. Kotori out.” Knowing that his father’s courage was truly inherited in him as he got Iori, and, because she didn’t want to leave her friend’s side yet, Yayoi on his saddle, Yoshi opened his eyes with a firm stare full of resolve and courage as he spoke. “Let's get this rescue underway!
“Then, we suppose you're ready...” The red vetran Yoshi smiled, while his blue pal then helped take lead in place of Chief Yoshi. “It's best to follow us. We know our way to the island's volcanic region and every veteran is eager to save our friend.” Moyoshi, being a veteran too, then announced. “Then let's go save my husband and Ms. Kotori from Bowser right now.” Producer-san was eager to help as well as he turned to the Idols. “Everyone, let's do our best in helping out.” The Idols all cheer, ready as ever to get the rescue underway, unfazed of the danger that lay ahead. Mario walked to the veteran Yoshis with a confident Luigi in tow as he beat his chest and spoke with pride. “My side's-a ready as evah, me and Luigi have something we should have done for da Chief long ago! Let's-a go!”
As the Yoshis, Team Mario, and all of the Idol start on their trek to the volcanic region of the island, Benjamin looked at the group for a moment with a smile. “Hnph... I simply can get you're ready because you’re determined, Mario. I really like that in you and plenty others with that inside. But also to do one's best can be invigorating... yet, idle talk of doing one's best won't do a thing but waste wind. I suppose I'll have to lend a hand in this rescue as well.” With that in mind, the interdimensional being in the form of a cyan Yoshi decided to catch up with the group without hesitation.

Unknown to the group, Saya happened to somehow sneak her way into the area as she saw the group and mange to overhear their conversation as they left. “Now they're heading to Bowser? Well, this would be perfect. I guess they can give the big cheese a piece of my mind from earlier. Let's see what happens.” The werefox smirked as she decided to use stealth to to watch their actions from the shadows... if she wasn’t accidentally sitting on a Wiggler, that is! The large caterpillar easily lost its temper and roared. “So, you like sitting on me, fox lady?! HOW WOULD LIKE BEING THE CHAIR INSTEAD?!”
“YIKES!!” The werefox yelped as she had no choice but to knock the creature unconscious using her technique, Shunka Shuuto.... and getting dirt all over her frame. “Oh man... I really need a nice bath now... but I have to tail the boy and the Idols... what a weird world this is...” Saya frowned as she disappeared into the shadows like a ninja and followed the group in secret.

*A FEW HOURS LATER...*
*Yoshi’s Island ~ Volcanic Region*
*Insert Theme: “Underground” (Yoshi’s Island)*
The volcanic region, which was originally dormant until Bowser returned, is very active now, the old paths covered, but the lava flow had unearthed new paths for the group to tread. Skeleton Goonies, Blarggs, Tap Taps, Chomps, and Pyro Guys, Shy Guys who have caught themselves on fire, make their home in this barren wasteland, adding life to the otherwise desolate pathway to the rebuilt castle. Oddly, the castles along the way were long destroyed and abandoned , adding less difficulty this time as the group marched quietly.
Blooper, looking a little crispy already, frowned in bitterness as he sweated to the intense heat of the area. “Great, more lava...! And I got out from soaking to see more...”
“This is impossible... the region was supposed to be dormant...! The lava flows were supposed to be ceased!” Moyoshi’s jaw fell to the ground at the sight of the lava, to which the brown veteran did not take too well. “Aww, I don't want to get my tail burned again!”
“Well, it seems-a Bowsa knew a way to get the lava back-a up-a runnin' again...” Mario gave his two Coins as he walked and looked around. Reiji looked around and the confusion of how the Koopa King managed to make a dormant volcano active again was beginning to annoy him to no end. “How can Bowser do something like this?!” To answer the agent’s question, tremors rumbled nearby, even enough to startle Chihaya. “N-NOT THIS AGAIN!”
Within sight was a large mechanical Monty Mole vehicle with drill claws and a drill nose crashes through the plateau with lava surging behind it, clawing through the obsidian like it was just made of stone. Reiji looked at the mechanical monstrosity and gaped in shock. “Oh, I see.”
*End Theme, Insert Theme: “Danger!” (Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door)*
Yukiho, losing her footing as the obsidian was beginning to break apart, began to plummet. “KYAAAA!!!”
“Yukiho!” Makoto yelped, ready to rush to save her friend, but Boshi, who also came along, cut ahead of her. “I GOT YOU” Quickly acting, the crude blue Yoshi used his own long tongue to catch her. Unfortunately, since the tongue was too moist, Yukiho’s leg slipped off as she began to fall again, scaring Producer-san. “NO!”
“AAAAAAAA-aaaaahhhhh...Huh???” Yukiho screamed, fearing that she would meet a fiery end... only to end up landing on top of Poochy, who turned large all of a sudden, as well as safely swimming on the surface of the lava unscathed. The group gasped as Yukiho landed butt first on the hound. “AHHH!”
“Nice save, boy!” Yoshi smiled at his beloved dog, to which he happily barked back. “Wuff wuff!”
Yukiho took a few seconds to notice that she landed on top of Poochy, and, without warning, with her hair standing on end like a cat who encountered an really unhappy canine, rocketed off the friendly dog screaming. “KYAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! NOOOOOOOO!” The mere sight of that made Makoto groan in disappointed disdain. Boshi, clearly humiliated by Yoshi’s beloved pet, grumbled a little too loudly. “Stupid dog! You made me look bad!” (Boshi, that’s Poochy, not Courage. Since when did you channel Eustace?)

"POOCHY AIN'T STUPID!!!" The combined angry shouts of Yoshi, Moyoshi, Iori, Takane, Hibiki and the Veteran Yoshis were more than enough the make Boshi flinch and reel. The rude Yoshi was down on his knees, rubbing his ears to get rid of that ringing feeling. “Geeeeez...!”
*Yoshi’s Island ~ Bowser’s Rebuilt Castle ~ Front Entrance*
*Insert theme: “Koopa’s Road” (Super Mario 64)*
The group had successfully and safely arrived at Bowser’s rebuilt castle. The veteran Yoshis noticed that the castle looked just the same as it did years ago... only now that an inclusion of Bowser’s scowling face was added for extra intimidation!
“So it was rebuilt... it's now more frightening than ever!” The purple veteran looked very intimidated, while Reiji, who crossed his arms, looked unintimidated at all as he thought for a moment. “I think I've seen more threatening places...”
“Well, here we are.” Moyoshi gazed at the place with the Idols with shivers down their spines. Producer-san took a single step further to look at the metal doors. “Now to get inside. But how? These doors are big!” But before the man could make a plan, Waluigi casually walked by him and, using his extra long legs and a dancing twil, the long legged miscreant kicked the doors aside, even sending them to the other side with a thud! “That’s how, ladies and gentleman!” The group stood in silence, having no response, except for Wario, who eagerly cracked his knuckles. “Well! Time to smash some shells!”
“Not quite the entry I had in mind, but it'll work!” Daisy shrugged but sighed as there really seemed to be no security whatsoever at the entrance. Before marching inside, Mario gave a polite gesture in what he said. “Ladies first?”
“With pleasure, Mario-san!” Haruka cheerfully accepted the offer as she and the other Idols went inside first before the princesses, Toadette, Xiaomu, and Moyoshi. The males soon followed after that...

*Yoshi’s Island ~ Bowser’s Castle ~ Throne Room*
*insert Theme: “Bowser’s theme” (Mario & Luigi: Dream Team)*
Bowser was having a quiet moment to himself until he heard the front doors get knocked aside. “Wh-What was that?!”
Without hesitation, as if by instinctual response, two Koopatrols enter the room. The first Koopatrol reported immediately to the Koopa King. “Reporting just now, Your Disturbedness!” The second Koopatrol, deciding that long reports are not needed at a time like this, he decided to give the short yet precise version. “To put this simply... MARIO'S GROUP IS INVADING THE CASTLE!!!”
“So Mario brought his posse and the Idols to my newly rebuilt childhood abode, huh? You there, inform Kammy to meet me in here immediately! And you, Rally the Koopa Troop and activate the traps!” Bowser realized the threat and gave his orders to the two Koopatrols.
“SIRE!” The two armored turtles accept the order with a salute before leaving the room posthaste, leaving Bowser to smile with a taste for revenge. “Mario and Luigi. And you, too, Yoshi. If you think you're going to save the chief, you and your fossil fools better be ready for some nasty deadly surprises!” And, soon enough, the Koopa King’s red eyes glow ominously in the darkness...

Mario and the Idols have successfully infiltrated the rebuilt castle of Bowser, with a little help from Waluigi this time! But what tricks, trasp, and nasty surprises has the Koopa King prepared for them? You just have to stay tuned and see!
