Description
I know she looks offbalance or in an awkward position... I couldn't fix it okay?!! I also redrew the hand on her chest a few times and it never came out right... -_-But I like how it looks overall. ^^ I just felt like drawing how Jin may look if she lived in the upper ring of Ba Sing Se instead of the lower ring. If she moved to the upper ring, maybe she can have tea at the Jasmine Dragon.
Yup. I've always liked Jin. She was the first person I supported with Zuko. (yes even before I liked him with Jet!)

She looks pretty in that dress. And I like Jinko too (even if I love Zutara)

cool. It's always nice to meet a Zutarian who also likes Jin/Jinko :3

Well, I like most pairings. And Jin is my favourite one-episode character. ^__^

I love Jin x Zuko. I wish the creators of the show didn't totally drop Jin's character. I really liked her.

yeah I know how you feel. They say she's coming back, then we never see her again except for a cameo?!

Yeah I saw that little glimpse of her when the Fire Nation took over Ba Sing Se, but that was it? O.o There was more potential with her and Zuko than there was for Zutara, IMO. The romance was already there.

Hell yeah there was more patential for Jinko than Zutara. Their romance can not be denied!

Jinko, it sucha cute ship name as well.
Zutara was more of a friendship. There was a lot of forgiveness, hitting a lot of bumps along the way, and potential for romance, but there IS romance with Jinko.
And I loved seeing vulnerable Zuko when he was around Jin.

I usually call it ZuJin, but most people call it Jinko.
yeah most deffinitely. They were friends more than anything, and they got mad when Jun called them a couple. XD Afterall Jin gave Zuko his first (and second) kiss. X33

I do see some improvement, so there's a good thing!
You could've fixed the imbalance error by... not breaking her right leg like that. ;D Or by moving it more to the left and thereby making her hips a bit curvier. As for the shading; its... okay, a bit boring, yet your image would be far more interesting if you'd use something else than just the burn tool. Just manually add different darker tones of the colour, keeping cast shadow and regular shadow in mind, then use the smear tool or such to "melt" them together a bit. It's more work, yet it'd be a good first step to add more detail.

great! I know it's great when YOU see improvement!
*shrug* It scanned in just fine but I wasn't sure how to rotate it or something to make it look better. <<; and about the shading stuff... hmm. Maybe I will try that...if I remember it the next time I do a picture.. ...

8D; I... must be a truly horrible critique!
Ahh yes, scanners can be horrible sometimes. Don't worry, I will most likely remind you of it everytime you upload something you just shaded with the burn tool again. ;D

huh????

Xannijn In reply to CrystalRobot [2009-11-17 16:35:08 +0000 UTC]
Well, because there... almost never is any. It seemed as if you'd never even looked at a real life model before sometimes. Yet now, I do think that you gave your pose extra thought, which is good.
xD I repeat; I will remind you of the fact that the burn tool is no good and that there are other ways to shade! ;D

I see. It's just other people seem to see improvement while you almost never do. Until now that is. Yes, I did give my pose a bit more thought and work.
whaaaaaat?? no good? If it's no good then how did I make those shadows huh? They may not look "professional" but it's still there. But fine I will do that stupid paintbrush tool. But I warn you, it may not look pretty the first time around.

xD Well, I had my spartan training drawing-wise. I'm harsh.
Oh, no one expects you to do well the first time you try this; it'd just be far more detailled, and not as dull. When used right you'll manage to make your work far more interesting with it.

I like how her right hand turned out and the folds of the dress you did down at her legs look quite convincing Well done on those!
Also if you ever say that the burn tool is the only way to do shadows ever again i will personally reach through the computer screen and delete the burn tool off of your PS

XD well that's all I know that works for me. I would use a paintbrush but it seems kind of...note my style.

Do you use Photoshop Elements or GIMP?
If you want, I can find you this tutorial I used on coloring/shading that works on those. XD (I know most tutorials are for higher versions of Photoshop)

Photoshop Elements.
um... sure but I reeeeaally don't want to. I was fine with it the way it is...unless it gets me less comments that tell me it's not fine....

Taco-Zuzu In reply to CrystalRobot [2009-11-15 03:57:30 +0000 UTC]
You know how to shade, like where to put the shading, but there are just different ways to control the burn and dodge tools than to just use them and hope the color turns out how you want. XD
I just assumed from the other comment that you didn't want to keep doing it like that. But if you like it how it is, keep doing it. ;D
But this is the tutorial if you're interested: [link]
(Only don't listen when she says not to multiply the layer, it doesn't do the other thing right in Elements)

I know, and that's fine to do it how you like it. ^-^
I'm not saying you should change it, I just meant that there are different ways you can in case you don't like the process of it.
I just know every time I have to color something, I get to one area and then I get angry and shake my computer screen and look for another way to do it. >_>
