Here's part 1 of what I was working on other than stories. I give you Aurora the Siren from my Shantae fanfiction series!

As well as getting the details mentioned in the stories, from her messy hair to her fins (and of course, that surprisingly endearing razor-tooth smile!), I also had to commit to the details that had just been in my head. Short-legged overalls and a t-shirt for the fact she is an engineer, but she also has these fins. Seems she doesn't like the hassle of fitting them through slits in her clothing... Along those same lines, she wears steel-toe shoes instead of boots, which would be hampered by those same fins.

And I certainly liked how it turned out at x4 the size of my last attempt, Embra (colored version seen here: www.deviantart.com/crystalpend… ). The blockiness of the lines in the Embra drawing do drive me nuts from time to time, but I just used the basic template Paint gave me off the bat. That was a mistake.

But this was the easy part. Even with a later correction (a line on her left hand), this took, say, an hour and a half?
The next part took me the rest of the time, over weeks...
