I never actually played the game, so I can't exactly judge or criticize it. But I'm all for Disney and its shows and products (contributed a large role in my childhood as it did to many others).
Most of us fans are just disappointed that Capcom would suddenly halted one of its most popular franchise. Keiji Inafune (the guy pretty much behind Megaman) has contributed a lot in the game designs, game production and other things has worked for Capcom for about 23 years and decided to take a break and start his life over. I mean sure, it's a bummer but 23 years working for the same company over and over again (although he probably enjoyed his carreer very much) can be a quite hassle. You can't really blame him. But this was a pretty big loss for Capcom.
However, like I said before, this doesn't really keep them from going on and making new series. Keiji Inafune may have done a big job, but there were others among him. And maybe there will be a new "Inafune" that will rise...Who knows?

Well Keiji Inafune (pretty much the guy behind Megaman) left Capcom...But I don't know why that would be a reason to halt the Megaman franchise.
Steve Jobs died, but Apple didn't suddenly give up. But not everything works out that way... :/
I guess they might be worried that the Megaman games wouldn't be as awesome and therefore have millions of fans complaining?
