To someone who doesn't understand the crossover... this is just creepy, and really, really strange.
I happen to be one of those people, but apparently this is a pretty neat crossover... so... kudos?

This whole comic series is just... just... I don't even know how to describe what I'm seeing any more. The sheer level of crossover awesomeness is simply off the charts. How is it that I didn't know about this before today?
Then again, maybe I did. Maybe when I first read it my brain was so overcome by the sheer impossibility and spectacle of it all that I slipped into a state of delusional catatonia. Excuse me while I check to see how much of the last 7 months was real.

I was thinking of Yami Yugi saying, "OBLITERATE!" And then you have the eyes which is prominent in Yu-Gi-Oh! too. I like the way Celestia's mane is placed over her face in the second panel and her expression in panel 5 (the panel directly below the one with the creature saying "I am you..."), both giving a sense of fear. The creature itself is a bit disgusting, which is effective in what mood its trying to impart (and the veins on the doppelganger's neck of panel 6, indeed "bizarre"). Very eager for the next page.

I presume that all but the last panel here is meant to be a flashback, but it would have helped if there was some indication of that.
Two ways I know of to indicate a flashback is to either have, "...Earlier that Day", or something of that nature in the corner of the first panel of the flashback scene, or to have every panel in the flashback feature mono-toned (tinted), muted (faded/less vibrant) or monochrome (black and white) colors, to differentiate the scenes of those past moments from the present.
Still ... how have I not noticed this before now? This is such random AWESOME.
