It's hard to say. His horn's pointed roughly at those ponies, but I can't actually tell for sure if those are 'Tia and Luna, or which one he's aiming for.

Weird thing is weΒ΄ve seen Twi useing combat spells like laser bolts in the show. Why didnΒ΄t she used them here now to help her bro?

The way I figure it, Twilight's never used a combat spell on another pony before. It's like shooting a rifle at the occasional critter, then being put in a position where you have to shoot another human being. It's really different man. Shooting a person is a lot harder to deal with, believe me.

Hm, true that. Pony enemies would be different from Changeling enmies, the last one is easier to hit due being non-ponies than the former.
Though i think Twi would think up of something to defend/fight them as well even without using combat spells.
Putting up a shield to keep herself and her friends outta trouble for now, teleport kicking to keep enemy at bay/push them back or even use some magic spell to bind them in one palce since none of them are Unicorns to be able to freem themselves from such magic.
I mean, its not like Twi only know to use magic as killing tool, she has lots of uses for it also shown in the show like making a hat outta a stone or moustaches. That would have been a good funny one, pulling a moustache spell on the enemies and making it so big/long/catchy that they step on their huge beards and fell on their faces. XD
Just standing around and screaming for help and doing nothing else doesnΒ΄t feel like the Twi who faced a Ursa Minor despite being scared.
But your explanantion why Twi didnΒ΄t used her lazer spell makes alot of sense. It just doesnΒ΄t make sense to me that she does nothign risking her friends and herself getting hurt which is something i think sheΒ΄d never would allow to happen no matter what.

By ARMY standards it's the third from the bottom in the officer corps. Above Captain is: Major, Lieutenant-Colonel, Full Colonel, Brigadier General, Major General, Lieutenant General, and Four Star General.
A Captain typically holds Command over no more than a company. (100 or so men.)

Yeah, I sorta knew, it's just that in the show we don't get to see a lot of captains, so that made me figure they didn't have a "regular" army rank standard. Of course I'm not saying you did it wrong, on the contrary, you're thouroghly right.
