Hard to say. It's not the "lolrandom" kind of nonsense like Panty and Stocking. --Actually, do you remember the last half hour of 2001: A Space Odyssey? It's like that, but without having planned to do that from the start. "We decided to wander off into some psychobabble now. You didn't really care what happened to the giant robots, did you?"
The philosophical meditation is heavy and out of place, but it's at least internally consistent in a "Did you ever really look at your hands?" kind of way, so I'd only give it a 5 for being nonsequitur with the rest of the show.
