so, how are those turnip prices? are the market prices going down like the hindenburg for anyone else, or is just my bad luck?God, there's that huge economic crisis in my town, the animals are climbing the lighthouse attempting suicide, being a mayor is really hard....

Its not really the actual story. When you first arrive to the town of your naming Isabelle just keeps calling you the new mayor while the game makes you deny it until you get the job (the person that was supposed to be mayor sends you a letter saying he's glad you were mistaken as mayor) so no conflict arrives later and you be mayor of the game.

turnips are nothing in terms of bells when you get a good supply of fruit trees, apples in my town sell for 600 bells a piece and I cut down all the non fruit bearing trees and turned my town into a systematic orchard.
