The truth is, her hair actually grew rather short, so as an adult she got Magical Unicorn Hair Extensions. Unfortunately they didn't have enough pink-colored magic to satisfy her need, so they blended in some pastels to make the mageecks truly happen.

I always thought that it was a side-effect of expanding her portfolio to include both day and night... the Aurora is caused by the sun, but I THINK it is only visible at night.

It makes me wonder why the ponies have to take care of everything in nature, but the evergreen forest (which hardly looks very green from what's been shown of it) is more like real-life excluding the monsters living in it, of course.

Not really a fan of baby pictures myself, but it's cool to see that I'm not the only one who thinks that Celestia may have had Pink hair when she was younger

Those two are terrifically adorable as foals, especially in your designs here. Their poses and faces have enough human-like characteristics so that the picture strikes an extra chord of lovability. The terrific grooming and big curious looks really give the feeling of them having their pictures taken. I love how you scaled down and redesigned them, giving them some baby fat, softening the ears and even their horns (or maybe those are supposed to be called alicorns, but some sources use that word for winged unicorns instead). They look like the pony analogues of pre-toddlers who crawl around, but we know that equines are up and walking very soon after birth. Still, I bet even their stumbling around was cute to watch.
The themed pacifiers were a cute touch too. I guess their parents already had some idea of what their cutie marks would be, but then again they were likely pre-destined to their roles anyway.
