I really liked how Twi was the main character of MLP and she was Celestia's faithful student in season 1. When I first saw the first episode of MLP I one of my first thoughts were "Huh..What an interesting main character." Because a worry bookworms aren't usually ever the main character except in Read or Die, the color scheme of Twi's body was a little on the darker side so thinking it being a rated Y kids show the main pony should be more bright and happy but Twilight wasn't she was definitely unique and special. Iwant to see more Twilight Sparkle I still consider her to be the manest mane character.

The "u" does actually serve a purpose; It's similar to the "u" in "Tour", which is not pronounced the same as "Tor". I believe it's from the French. The difference in pronunciation is pretty subtle, though - one wouldn't generally notice it in everyday speech.

As an aside, I'm mildly irritated that I cannot unambiguously refer to the language of England as "The English Language", or just "English" for short. Instead I have to use English(UK)* to distinguish it from the language of America (which should by all rights be called "American" and not "English").
