Description actually this was a comic for my tumblr thing but for some reason I colored (coloured?) it
the original tumblr question (well is not a question) was: everypony suspects pinkie pie is obsessed with party hats.

Well I'm Australian so I waste a few more muscles typing "coloured"
BUT THAT ASIDE ~~
That's so true. ever since season 2 and Lesson Zero Twi has less screen time; tehe.
I saw her for like.. 2 seconds in this episode - she was just a background pony though. Hehe.

Easier for Rarity to brush off, because she runs a successful fashion business, but Pinkie Pie just parties. Does she even work at Sugarcube Corner?

Since she lives with the Cake family they make her clean up the place and help with deliveries and stuff, but
even now, she is their baby sitter too.

"colored (coloured?)" - do you not know which spelling to use?

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

AngewomonsLover In reply to MKC7162387 [2012-03-05 05:33:17 +0000 UTC]

In America it's spelled "colored"
In UK (british english) they spell it "coloured"

Same with words like "favorite", they spell it "favourite". Why? I have no idea.

Sir-Jayke In reply to AngewomonsLover [2012-03-05 05:48:28 +0000 UTC]

Pretty much any English speaking speaking country that isn't America has the 'U'. It's the proper way to spell it, as defined by the people who created the language to begin with. Why? Same reason America was the last democratic nation to abolish slavery and still uses the painfully inefficient Imperial system of measurement.

Your country is opposed to change and progression, the way it foolishly clings to a piece of paper written by a bunch of ignorant racists two hundred years ago.

Not a personal attack, I'm not on the hate America bandwagon like many non Americans, it's just one of those stupid things that every country has.

>explains different spellings to someone
>gets another person telling me my country is horrible

Uh....what just happened?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sir-Jayke In reply to AngewomonsLover [2012-03-05 18:33:09 +0000 UTC]

Never said that. Acknowledging a flaw or area in need of improvement is not the same as saying it's horrible.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AngewomonsLover In reply to Sir-Jayke [2012-03-05 21:12:09 +0000 UTC]

You sure worded it to sound like saying it's horrible.

Still completely unrelated, as well.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

Vanishing77 In reply to Sir-Jayke [2012-03-05 06:42:23 +0000 UTC]

Actually, dropping the 'U' is the proper use of grammar concerning those words, all those other English speaking speaking countries have been doing it wrong all this time.

NEFUR-STUDIOS In reply to Vanishing77 [2012-06-24 05:58:51 +0000 UTC]

The UK came before America in case you've forgotten. In Britain 'coloured' is correct, in America, 'colored' is correct. Every country has a different way of spelling it, no way is wrong. Why is there such a big fight over this? :/

EyesDownHero In reply to Sir-Jayke [2012-03-05 06:30:12 +0000 UTC]

And I love how that one comment has precipitated all these "Americans are crazy" comments. It's quite amusing

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

EyesDownHero In reply to Sir-Jayke [2012-03-05 06:28:40 +0000 UTC]

I wouldn't blame you if you did hate America - there are some times I almost resent the government, and I've yet to see anyone more xenophobic than a down-home American. I think that's part of the reason why we spell it 'color' instead of 'colour' - we apparently don't want to be like other countries.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Sir-Jayke In reply to EyesDownHero [2012-03-05 06:57:59 +0000 UTC]

I think it's a case by case basis, I try not to judge people based on where they live. After all that, in an of itself, is xenophobic. Yes I've met some rude, racist southerners. I've also met some very kind hearted, generous and selfless ones as well. The U.S government isn't perfect but hey, it's better than about two hundred other, far worse countries.

KaelHyun In reply to EyesDownHero [2012-03-05 06:53:22 +0000 UTC]

The reason is also because a lot of the places we came from (Mostly Europe) are or where fucking nuts. Better we not follow those examples and be competently different. There's a reason why many feel that if "you don't like it here? you want it to be like (Insert country here)? Move" mentality as that was (and should return to being) the main reason for moving to America we all ran from the crazy our country's and restarting.

Part of being an American is while you get to keep a bit of your culture and share it with the rest of us, you adopt the American culture of "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" Pursuit being the main word as Happiness isn't promised only the Opportunity to try and get some, and Sadly the Majority of my generation has not figured this out (22 going on 23).

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sir-Jayke In reply to KaelHyun [2012-03-05 07:06:03 +0000 UTC]

That "If you don't like it leave" mentality is one of the stupidest imaginable ideals one can have. Just because you think something can be improved doesn't mean you want to leave.

Calling Europe fucking nuts when America had slavery (land of the free indeed) for about 100 hundred years after they all decided it was wrong, is a bit hypocritical.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KaelHyun In reply to Sir-Jayke [2012-03-10 20:50:40 +0000 UTC]

The don't like Leave is apart of our main tenants(sp?) in that if you find somewhere that fits your way of thinking you should move there and not force that way of thinking on others. Thus that district or State will gain more votes in Congress. Thats also part of the Reason the 3/5ths clause was around in the begining because the founders knew if the Southern states counted all of there slaves the country could never get away from slavery)

America had Slavery (For the shortest period of all the world and even in the beginning many of the founders were against it) but Europe had the French Revolution, Napoleon, Marx, ext.

She was in disguise as that 80's tween girl pony.

Probably hiding from Scoots.

Twilight's so adorable in panel 1, and Dashy's so cute in panel 2. And why party hats? I haven't seen anypony wearing a party hat in Pinkie's parties, except on her own birthday party in AJ's barn.
