so, I have been thinking that ponyville is the equestrian equivalent to Silent hill, I mean, that creepy forest all that monsters and now the hell gates are open! thanks god this is a show for kids...did I mentioned this show is amazing? no? well it is.

I think that Ponyville is more similar to Sunnydale, the town from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, since the Hellmouth concept has more in common with Tartauros than Silent Hill does. It seems to me that a Silent Hill town would have far more mist, rusted metal, and psychologically significant monstrosities roaming the streets.

Ponyville is Sunnydale, and Tartauros (it's a pun on tauros, you see) is the Hellmouth. I don't really think any part of the whole thing has to do with Silent Hill.

Tartarus is an actual place though, and I was saying that it would be a hellish place (pun definitely intended) of death and decay populated by psychologically significant monsters.
