Just to checkout how many people think this so? To be honest, this didn't made me cry, but made me feel bad! I really would like if portal 2 could end diffrent! But who knows? Valve likes to make their endings open. Portal 2 could've ended worse - they could've killed Wheatley in a snap, yet they didn't because they wanted to bring him back in case of a sequel. I personally loved the ending, and cried a lot of happy (and sad, just to be frank) tears.

AND I liked the ending. It left it empty for everyone to do little fantasies of Wheatley coming back! I thought it was sad, but a good idea.

Of course, if they made portal 3 I would be happy. But I think the portal games had a good ending, and it should stop there. If they make a Portal 3 it might just be bad and poorly made, and might ruin my love of all the Valve games. GLaDOS said she doesn't want her coming back, and sang a bloody song about it, lol. I don't know. That is just my opinion. I love Portal, don't get me wrong. I would be happy if they did, but you know.

I will have to say, Wheatley's apology most definitely made the game worth while in beating. I mean, I forgave Wheatley right away, he deserves all the hugs and kisses he get's because it wasn't his fault.

I love to write; I mean, I don't do a whole lot of it, but I love learning the art of it. I heard once that a really good writer can bring forth strong emotion in the reader. Any emotion; happiness, sadness, anger, frustration, nervousness; if it is the emotion the writer intended to convey, then they did a good job writing. I have come to be able to recognise good writing, whether the story is one that is sad, happy, or frustrating. A story can be happy, but not well written. The fact that the ending of Portal 2 elicits such a strong emotional reaction means that it is very well written.
A sad story can be appreciated just as well as a happy one. And I actually rather like sad stories, even if they make me cry, because that's part of it. It was sad as heck, but it was a really, really, exceptionally good ending.

I've started writing a book before, but then I read other books and realize mine is crap. It's really the creating a plot that I have serious problems with. Any time I try things end up being way to simplistic.
And... you love my work? Surely you don't mean that summary paragraph I typed up right there. I have a Portal 2 fanfic that I've written... you mean that? (If not, it would mean a lot if you wanted to take a look at it. ^ ^)

It made so many people feel bad for him, and I guess I see why, but personally I wanted a 'kick' button so I could get him out faster. I have to say though, maybe Valve should have implemented a choice system, like in Bioshock - you could choose to hold on to him or choose to let go.
Although I imagine both will end similarly, s'just you'll join him in space in one of the choices. xP

Wish there will be a portal 3 but valve is afraid of the number, They have still yet to make a left 4 dead 3, Half-life 2 episode 3, or a half-life 3, or Team fortress 3. Once they make one of them, we can have higher hopes of there being a portal 3

valve has probabbly made ending like that because they didn't want to make other portal versions, but because portal games are being very popular, and 'cause much people don't want it to end so easly, then they gona have to make portal 3!

Well I wouldn't be surprised if they would because of popular demand, but if they do make another one, it won't be for a while, I mean we had to wait 3 years for portal 2 and after so many delayed release dates too! I pray that they make a third but in reality, the chances are pretty slim
