It is about time I joined SDL. My OC this time around is Oda Katou, a pacifist, tea loving, blacksmith. I've also pulled in the help of who is going to make sure that I don't look like an idiot when I talk about metalsmithing.

Name: Oda Katou
Occupation: Blacksmith
Country of Origin: Japan
Age: 54

There is a long backstory for Oda (unlike Alu). Being the oldest contestant in SDL, he's had a few years to build up some history involving the great war the Roninsultramix mentioned as being the precursor to SDL itself. It is all written, I've just got to get it organized.
(EDIT: Actually Oda is the 3rd or 4th oldest I've found out)

The most important facts about him are:
-He is an legendary level blacksmith who has traveled far west. He is the only man in SDL (and possibly Asia) that knows the process of making true Damascus Steel (the best sword making steel during that era).
-He is the owner of the Wazamono Workshop, the #1 (and possibly only) metals shop in SDL. And is almost always seen wearing his leather apron and gloves.
-Despite his 'roudy' past, Oda is a reformed pacifist ever since he lost his wife. Now he'll gladly give out a helping hand to whoever need one, a warm bed for a weary traveler or a free meal for whoever asks. It is his way of balancing out what he did when he was younger.
-He loves Tea, ALOT! He is a frequent visitor of the Chatei Teahouse run by
-Oda is fairly wealthy since he is a respectable blacksmith in a town full of ronins in need of weaponry and who owns his own blacksmithing shop with a few servants.
