For the contest over at #SimonPetrikovLove , the theme being "Childhood."While trying to brainstorm some ideas, I noticed how I felt that I was taking a stroll through Simon's many different possible memories and immediately got reminded of the episode Memory of a Memory. So I thought, "what if Simon and Marcy did the same thing?" So here they are watching Simon as a child on a seemingly average day. But there is something special about this day. He's reading the book that initially sparked his interest on studying supernatural artifacts, which led him down the course to finding the crown and becoming Ice King. The name of the book is Awry Artifacts of Old.

Yea, I think he's a distant russian, but he doesn't have the thick accent and perhaps is american. His distant family may have been Russian or Scandinavian immigrants. I also think that maybe betty knows more of the russian language than he does, which would be cute.

That snail is EVERYWHERE in the show and in pictures, never doing or saying much I dont think but just there. Its like hes God or something. Anyway, great idea. In one episode the Ice King goes from weird old wizard to one of the most sympathetic characters in any kids show.... that's not really a kids show.
After all this time, I wonder if her love can bring him back.

Thank you, very much. And yes, that insight on the Ice King is actually what got me into Adventure Time in the first place. My sister started drawing pictures for the show and I was all like "GREAT she got sucked into that crap," But when I saw Simon, a character I'd never seen in commercials and such, I asked her about him. And when she explained the whole thing with Ice King/Simon, I just had to watch the show myself. Thus, I'm hooked to the show now, it's craziness I have grown to adore, and if they were to EVER bring him back it'd be a dream come true (even though I love the Ice King as he is to bits).
TOTALLY AGREED about the Kids show thing-It's freakin' deep, man.
