As much as I would love to take credit for composing the hideous crime against the English language that is the main feature of this piece,it actually comes from the 1979 book "The 80's:A Look Back At A Tumultuos Decade",in which Tony Hendra,Christopher Cerf,Peter Elbling and a whole slew of talented writers and artists create a wholly fictional 1980's.
In their alternate reality,there's no MTV or Madonna,nor is there eight years of the Reagan presidency---instead we get meat prohibition,the smash hit movie musical "1984!",the oil glut,the International Year Of The Simultaneous Orgasm---which was apparently not as fun as it may first sound---and a video-sated culture,coupled with a meteoric rise in illiteracy that killed off the medium of print before the decade was even over.
The grossly mispelled statement quoted above has stayed with me all these years---to me,seeming bizarrely appropriate in today's texting culture.
