Before the Halloween season winds down,I wanted to do one more holiday-themed artwork...and in doing so,I returned to a favorite sub-sub-sub-genre of mine...newspaper horror movie ads from the 1970s,with a little grindhouse thrown in...

Incidentally,there's a really obscure reference to the Benny Hill Show here...anybody think they can spot it?

11-30-14 No one even tried to guess?The heck with it,here it is...
The ad in the upper right-hand corner...it's pronounced oh-dam-too-BAH-joh.In a sketch on his show,Benny Hill played a Japanese man visiting England with his wife,and they're being interviewed on TV.During this,they express their approval of the British game called oh-dam-too-BAH-joh. The interviewer,most likely played by Henry McGee,has no idea what they're talking about.They describe the game,and it soon becomes obvious they were at a golf game...where,after the player failed to sink the ball,some of the onlookers tell him,"Oh-dam-too-BAH-joh!!!" (Oh,damn,too bad,Joe!!!)
