Description
Superman's 75th birthday was celebrated two years ago;Batman's was last year, while Wonder Woman's is this year.Since the next few years will see many similar celebrations...usually accompanied by visual retrospectives of the many changes in the character throughout the decades...I decided to give Captain Metropolis,a supporting character in Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' Watchmen,a corresponding treatment.

Now that's allot of character designs for one simple superhero.

No problem, and in my opinion I see the 1940's and early 50's as the golden age of mass produced comic books before the unconstitutional 1954 comic code came in to suppress the artistic freedom of the visual medium on a mainstream scale, and they wonder why comic books are taken more seriously in Belgium, France, Italy, and Japan compared to the States.

Nice amalgam reference. Who is Metropolis supposed to be merged with?

Oh, I thought you found a Cap homage instead of using Cap himself.
