In the 70's, DC Comics brought back the long-defunct Fawcett Comics' superhero Captain Marvel, including his family, friends, archenemies and so forth. I was especially intrigued by Mary Marvel's solo stories, many of whom were drawn by artist Bob Oksner; of course, I wouldn't discover this until many years later, including that his career went back many years before and that he had a unique talent for drawing attractive women.
There was a Mary Marvel story... Secret Of The Smiling Swordsman, published in SHAZAM! #19, August '73...in particular, as she goes up against the titular villain, his sword having no effect on her invulnerable body, so she mocks him by turning her back on him, jokingly commenting "Now scratch my back!". Her flirty facial expression and slightest suggestion of her butt under her skirt, I remember to this day....and it inspired this.
