Columbus Junction, Iowa Swinging Bridge "Lover's Leap"Built in 1886 rebuilt in 1922 and has a span of 262 feet.
Did a love sick Indian maiden leap to her death? The trees know, and they won't tell.

nice bridge! It's funny, I looked it up to figure out where it was and found this: [link] and it has almost the exact same photo in it. A pity about all the tagging, people just don't have any respect

Haha, so you at last managed to wander into Columbus Junction to find the "Swinging Bridge of Doom". I walked across it myself...barely... It really does feel a bit unsafe, lol...
As you may know, I also have a picture of this bridge in my gallery, but it's so wonderful to see a photo from you on it.

Thank you! I have so many shots left to upload its not even funny and so I am trying to trickle them in slowly. I drive thru Columbus Junction alot however I never think to stop to take a picture of this until now
