Now that I have gotten that out of the way, I really have to ask, do you have some sort of tutorial or method of modeling and rendering feet in such a way? I only ask as I'm trying to model my own original characters and every little bit helps. Plus, the only tutorial I've ever found in this area does not help much.
Sorry if it sounds like I'm begging; I'd just like to be able to do something as detailed as your recently posted works!

There was couple ways I tried the weight deforming on the foot, but I think the simplest one worked the best.
I'll try to make the next rendered image so as tho you'd be seeing the soles directly up front of you... so the feel should be that of either looking at them really close or having them on your face.

Altho, I was aiming for more toonish approach, but I guess the skin shader takes it out from beeing totally cartoon and puts it in this place what you see here.

The cracks on the soles are from a real person so I can't take whole of the credit there. I was merely trying to mimic my girl friends sole pattern from some digital images I took from her feet.
