Though I am used to this kind of isolation and I feel there is not much difference in my life...
We are not always alone, least I am not. I have my darlings that I care for, my baby boy, Doom, he turns 4 years old next month, I've had him for all 4 years. He's a Maine Coon x Russian Blue mix. I also have my baby girl, Lucy, she's a royal/ball python. Both so dear to my heart.
