I don't know why you would regret it, but I'm not the best person to ask since I don't know a lot of Touhou related stuff!
It's a game series with many spinoffs (made by fans I think) with lots of different magical girls from my understanding (I think there are over 100 characters). The main, official games seem to mostly be bullet-hell type games!
