So, technically I wasn't supposed to do these characters until part 10, so I guess I'll still call this part 10, so here's Ryu, Ken, Wolverine, and Cyclops in a convertible. This is probably the first time I've used acrylic paints. The reason I skipped to part 10 with Ryu, Ken, Cyclops, and Wolverine is because the group has mainly primary colors and I wanted to use these paints ASAP (I didn't really want to tackle mixing colors to create secondary colors). I tried to use Roy Lichtenstein as an influence (a pop artist), and I have to say I don't like the digital scanned version as much as the original painting for some reason. I'm guessing it's because a lot of the texture is lost from the scanning.Part 6 might be coming soon... it's supposed to have Jill, Blackheart, SonSon, and Shuma-Gorath... but I have a feeling the group picture of Guile, Charlie, Spider-man and Venom will be done first (which is supposed to be Part 8)...

I know what you mean re traditional art. My scans are degraded versions of my paintings. But then, I hate the printed versions of my digital paintings. I dunno... I guess digital art's just plainly better viewed on-line and traditional ones are best viewed in living color.
But yeah. I love Pop art and I like the varying styles you put into each cover. kuddos!
