Description
There are two pages of my travelling sketchbookI'd like to modify the right one, but I'm short on time and I'm not sure if it's worth it
but even as it is, the right one is my favorite of these two.
Also, if you're wondering about photo-artifacts, yeah I had to bash these pages together digitally
since my scanner is too small as well as other reasons

Honestly I think, if you commit to it, your shadows work out great,

The hardest part is to get oneself to throw in big shadows when the linework is satisfying^^

You're right though, it's easier to work on shadows when incorporating them to a work at the same time as the lineart
than adding them after the lineart itself

The second strategy can works too, but with heavy shadows
it's more shape-thinking than line thinking.
