Description
trying to learn different, more common beading methods that what I did with animals up to now. this pic, as the title might implyand I have one word for you: timeconsuming. (which is probably written in two words, but what do I care)
but the design was done by me. not all too bad for a first, I guess.

uh - brilliant idea? lol... I simply wanted to find a way to attach the thing I'd made to a necklace or something... all very impromptu. but wow, I'm glad you like it! sure, play with my idea all you want to. I'm flattered. the knot I attached the bead loop to the leather is called a palsteg, a sailor's knot. if you don't know it yet, I'm sure they're tutorials online on how to make it. I find it really handy.

LOL)and i have another 25 ideas written down.... i doubt even a holiday would give me sufficient time
i would like to learn the knot though....

it's really easy. it's a sailor's knot, after all.

Love the colours, nice and bold, which I like Have you tried using a beading loom?

I used to do beading only on the loom. got boring after a while, and the finished pieces only piled up in my room, so I transferred to bead animals. now that I'm pretty good with those, I want to go back to bead-and thread. there are tons of techniques I've never even known of until I discovered the awesome bead artists here on dA. thanks for the visit!

*looks up from the dubious remains of what was on the photo* you - uh - what? I um - am right now in the act of opening it all up again. I thought, I'd never wear it anyways, so I might as well reuse the beads... but uh - if you want to, I could remake it.
