Description
Geron [GeronKizan] as Detective Gumshoe, Miles [CaptainMiles] as Phoenix Wright, and myself as Maya Fey from the Phoenix Wright series. Photo taken by Lionel [lionboogy] at Otakon 2009. Funny story: Miles and I had actually been planning to cosplay Nick and Maya LAST Otakon, but I was offered my teaching position a week and a half prior to the convention and everything went to pot, since I had to focus on moving. I made Maya in November for Nekocon, but never quite finished her, and this summer I was FINALLY able to sew Miles' suit and put the finishing touches on Maya! PHEW. Plans for a larger group seem to continually fall through with these costumes, but we were so happy to have the most excellent Geron as our Gumshoe. ENJOY OUR FABULOUS POSES. Both Phoenix and Maya were constructed by myself. Miles made his attorney pin. XDPlease no critiques/criticism. I'd like to keep this gallery happy! <3

OMG, male Phoenix AND Gumshoe! I love seeing fellow guys cosplay. Especially PW characters (since I'm a Godot cosplayer, and probably going to do Edgeworth in the future.) ^_^

Phoenix Wright is a good game series for guys to cosplay from. The men actually look... masculine, LOL. Good luck with your Edgeworth!

HAHAH. My wig is so cheap, though. I'm glad it looks high-quality in this photo, but it really is such a mess. If I felt I'd wear the costume more often, I would replace it with a Misty from Cosworx, but I don't think I'll wear Maya more than once or twice more. She's so annoying to wear - Did you find yours was the same way? The bow would just flop all over the place and I was constantly fussing over my wig and overcoat.

UHG SAME HERE. I started with a Tina, which is... not as nice of a wig as you might thing. it was a PAIN to style because of the layers of shorter hair between the long layers. >.<
My bow never cause me any problems, except being right in my way. I was CONSTANTLY fixing the robe and coat though, 'cause I'm anal. My necklace stayed in place pretty good, but it was safety pinned to my clothes... And yeah, always playing with the ends up my front hair pieces. Nnngh. I like how it looks, but wearing it is not the most fun in the world, nooo....
I'm probably going to do a photoshoot with her, and then post her up for sale. I think my favorite part of that costume is my necklace. LOL

I think we passed you once in AA, but I wasn't sure so I didn't say "Hi." I wasn't in Phoenix Wright cosplay at the time, or I definitely would have come over. ^__^;

I'm just confused as to how you can understand the manga if you haven't played the games, LOL. They're more of a sequel than anything. ^__^; Definitely play them if you ever have a chance!
