I haven't read the fanfic but I listened to a song called "Without you" by the swedish singer Anders Johansson when I looked at this AMAZING drawing. 
"Is this what I have to go trough, to be able to live my life without you.
Is this what I have to feel like, to be able to live without you by my side."
The strong emotion in the drawing just increased as I heard these lyrics.
