Background:
When Kat was a baby, she was in a horrific car crash, causing her to lose her voice and her parents. But when she was twelve, her foster parents took her to a hospital in Metropolis, where they were able to give her her voice back. So she was fluent in sign language, but could speak again. Soon she realized that she could actually do perfect imitations of anybody’s voice!
So one day, she heard the Joker and Harley Quinn in a warehouse she was in. They were being chased by Batman, Robin, and Moon. So, when they split up, she lured Joker towards where Batman was by mimicking Harley Quinn and calling him over (she was obviously hiding). She then did the same to Harley. Both Moon and Robin were impressed, and even Batman was a little bit, so she was taken under their wing and became Mimic!
